I gotta grab one of these. I grabbed the powkiddy rgb10x and Miyoo A30 instead but i am blown away by anbernic's quality on the cubexx Great video Derek and good luck with the new channel!
@bassderek 100% recommend it. The a30 doesn't have port master like the rg28xx would but I feel like on devices this small you don't need port master games anyway.
I've been using my rg28xx when im on my lunch break and at home :D. It's my go to portable handheld. Currently playing through goodboy galaxy. Can't recomend the device enough. Haven't tried MinUI before but I've had a good experience with MuOS on the rg35xx plus so I just flashed it on the rg28xx. MinUI does look super clean and simple though
@@bassderek True also I'm hoping one day anbernic devices will get custom firmware as cozy as miyoo devices. I've been messing around with the miyoo mini and man onion os is so nice.
I am still undecided about which 2.8 inch console to buy. I would love a comparison with the Miyoo A30 with spruce 3, however, I kind of want to get this one since I can exchange the sd cards with my other anbernic devices and that might be quite worth it
I can play SOME PSP, but not necessarily well. Not a device I'd buy with PSP in mind. For playing it well, possibly the Retroid Pocket 2S, but the 4:3 screen isn't ideal. Something like the Retroid Pocket 3+ is probably the best device for PSP without getting into the $200+ range. But it's much larger than the 28xx.
I think the RG35xxH is probably better if you want to play a larger catalog of games and don't mind a bit more size, yes. For me, personally, sticks make most devices a no-go for actually putting in a pocket.
Oh heck yeah!!!! Great video. Still one of my favorite micro handhelds
One of the few that has lasted through various purges!

@@JeffBreyer Thanks! The only mark against quality is the rattling shoulder buttons on this one. The finish and buttons are very nice.
Beware of the rg28xx screen, LOTS and I mean LOTS of them have an awful light bleed.
Spruce 3.0 on the Miyoo a30 is Soo good now.
Maybe I need to finally check the A30 out.

The A30 not having a headphone jack is a HUGE dealbreaker.
Love my mini minui machine
MinUI is what sells the whole package for me!
Great job man. Keep it up 🙂
Thanks, Cho!
Really good video keep it up subbed
Appreciate it!
I love mine❤ so pretty and portable.
It’s so sleek!
Nice, BassDerek solo channel! 🍻🤘🏼🔥
🤘
you probably picked it up but resolution is wrong at 0:41
also would be nice to show the different colorway images
Oops!
SUBBED! Sincerely, STUBBSD
I am blessed by the Stubbs!

@@peterle8482 Nice thing about Anbernic making so many H700 devices is all the custom firmware options.

@@peterle8482 onion is really nice. The MM+ was my small device of choice for a while.
Battery life?
I just got two of these for my twins. They use my steam deck and switch lite. So There gonna love this!

I just ordered an A30 on AlieExpress today, stay tuned and I’ll have a comparison in a couple weeks!
Derek, what are your thoughts on the RGB10X? Been thinking about that one lately, with that single joystick. 🍻
I’ve heard it’s a pretty good small device and good for GBA, I haven’t personally used it though. Thanks for finding me over here!
After use, is there any light leakage around the edge of the screen?
I've owned it for a few months, haven't noticed any.
How is it in your pocket?
I had a Miyoo A30, liked the size, but it would keep turning on in my pocket. Does this give you an issue like that?
The power button is on the right (short) side and requires a fairly firm press to turn on, I’ve never had an issue with it.
@@bassderek Thanks for the reply, appreciate it. Looks like there's a sale going on right now so I think it'll be worth the purchase.
How about PSP? Can this handle psp? If not, what's the next smallest device that can? Thanks for the review

Is this reasonable to read the dialog of a jrpg like final fantasy 8 or 9?
Or is it a little too hard to read at that size
Probably a bit small. Would maybe get something like the rg35xxH at least with 3.5” screen.
Trimui Smart
Rg35xx h is better, i feel. This needs two joysticks. With postmaster, we are bound to see more great titles that need sticks.
I think the RG35xxH is probably better if you want to play a larger catalog of games and don't mind a bit more size, yes. For me, personally, sticks make most devices a no-go for actually putting in a pocket.
@bassderek a small silk bag, ignores many stick to pocket issues.
With spruce 3.0 out, not anymore with those shitty buttons
The buttons don't bother me much for the small play sessions that I use this, but I can see where you're coming from.
Too small for me!
Well that’s kinda the point hehe. But yeah it’s not for everyone, it’s a secondary device for sure.
