you can only play riders republic on steam deck by using zen mode and proton experimental for now since online causes the anti cheat software is causing problems to continue , proton experimental can be changed before starting the game by changing the launch options to its proton version rest assured that steam deck compatibility will be soon available
Millena, what is zen mode? I only have a steam deck and this is on sale, if it runs I’ll take it, I can surely set a proton version but I’ve no idea what zen mode means. Can you clarify?
@@doku5317 Thanks, a recent riders republic update just requires you to install the proton battle eye and it works just fine for me, I didn’t need to set a compatibility version or anything.
I tried proton battleye and I was able to play online. It runs a little bit better than a dual boot on windows 11. Still to damn laggy though. I had considered refunding but I might stick with it if it gets better optimization
the steam deck update just got released meaning you don't have to use proton experimental anymore, and can now play in online just follow this discussion in steam about riders republic store.steampowered.com/news/app/2290180/view/3810669011448242937?l=english
