I'm a huge Timex fan. It was my first watch as a kid and since the pandemic I bought 50 more. I think I have enough. I love the reissues they came out with and many of their co-labs. I'm not a movement guy or a specs guy, I guess you can call me a Timex guy. Just love how they look and make me feel. Great video. We need more Timex videos from the watch TH-camrs!

I just visited Italy again! Life over there seems better… Let me say although you are young I enjoyed your seasoned take on watches as it really resonated with me. Although I am concerned with quality and value for my money I especially liked your point that watches may be more than a collection of specs. Now that fiancé has gifted me an 8-watch case I have more watches to buy and my plan is to continue to build my collection with things that I like and and will be appreciated by me for whatever reason and not to brag or impress others. I was already considering adding a Timex but i think I am more likely to get one now after watching your video. Thank you for sharing your opinions and insights👍
great Vid. I am a Timex fan. The indiglo feature is a Big selling point for me, along with their looks, reliability, and as you pointed out, "the way they make me feel".
One of my favorite watches is the simple Timex Weekender. I have a few straps for it that cost twice as much as the watch it'self. But it just goes with anything. Yes it ticks loudly but that isn't a bad thing in my opinion.
Nice! There are some super fun watches in the back catalog of Timex. Also fun exploring their made in Great Britain watches, and their west Germany and besancon France models (kelton). As you say , a shame they’ve been rather fashion watch style for a while if you put the heritage to one side , especially if you consider their broader range with Guess and Versace etc, but they seem to be turning a corner there.
I love what Timex is doing. I think they dominated the entry market for many years. Aliexpress is now in that position. I think the best thing they could do is try to compete in the sub $1000 market with watches like the American document series. I own 4 Timex watches all vintage. My two favorite are a 1979 Marlin(blue dial) and a 1970 Mercury with a champagne dial.
Of course Timex watches are good. They are reliable, priced within most people's budget, plenty accurate, and conservatively styled. Many people who choose to wear a watch want exactly that.
In 1968 I purchased a $100 self-winding, 30-Jewel Bulova watch that was supposed to last a lifetime. Thirteen months later, a month after the warranty expired, it stopped working. I paid $30 to have it repaired, and it stopped working again about two months later. I paid again to have it repaired, and a short time later, after my expensive self-winding watch stopped working again, I threw it in the trash and purchased a cheap $10 Timex watch. That cheap Timex watch lasted about 20 years until I accidentally submerged it in water. Are Timex watches any good? I have no idea but I've been happy with a cheap Timex watch since 1969.

Got the Timex Waterbury Automatic for €74 here in India. It's my 1st Automatic watch and for that price, It's amazing!

Yeah, they are slowly making a comeback in my opinion. I'm excited to see where they are going
Timex makes watches that are attractive and that your not afraid to wear if you bump them.
