i dont know why, but everytime there is an indonesian representative here, i am very excited and happy, i feel like they also represents philippines.
❤from ph here
Thankyou
Me also, as Indonesian everytime there is Filipinos and Malaysian, i would like to watch it 😂😂
because we are brothers
we are brothers from another land ❤
Aww that's so sweet 😍
that arabian vibe was on point tbh. Indonesian contains many arabic loanwords.
One such word was demonstrated in the video (mungkin, from arabic mumkin meaning "maybe")
Sumpah deh, dari beberapa orang indo yg gw tonton di channel ini, cuma si Violin yg ngomongnya bener2 kalem bgt sampe vibe indonesianya ilang😅😅
😅
Logatnya kayak dari Jaksel … sepertinya 😂

Setuju! Seru jadinya kalau guessing game, hehehe
iya seneng dia wkwkw
Actually Indonesia is such a beautiful country with a beautiful sea or lake or nature and have various languages in it. Indonesia isn't just Jakarta and Bali but also there's a lot of regions and culture. Hope you can explore Indonesia a lot soon❤❤
put 3 Indonesian people with different ethnicities, and tell them to talk, you will feel like they are all from different countries
For real😂
I thought the same thing😂😂
Always love seeing Southeast Asian representation!! Each so different but all equally beautiful♥️ Much love from Thailand🇹🇭
Indonesian is such a beautiful language❤
Thank you, also every language is beatiful....
Love from Indonesian
Me from Indonesia
cause you Indonesian LMAO
Love from Bekasi❤
Clearly Lauren is another level , last time , the latin team won , but now the english has Lauren , who had been in the channel so many time and knows a lot about geography and countries , no wonder now how the result was different , anyway good video , and nice see Andrea back too
Bro It would be a draw the other latina knew the right response
None of them are exactly new, they've all been part of multiple different geography/cultural videos
Lauren is the girl that they always use to react Harry Kane Videos right? back in the early days?
I knew the English were going to win the second i saw Lauren in the thumbnail.
Bahasa Indonesia memang terkesan seperti penuh jebakan akibat banyaknya kata serapan. Tapi karena intonasinya yang jauh berbeda dengan bahasa Asia pada umumnya seharusnya sangat mudah ditebak...😊
It's not as easy as it looks, my friend
@@handoyosantoso128its easy if you can 🗿 (just joking)
The subject in Vietnamese is a noun that refers to a person and can change depending on age, relationship, time, and emotions.
sumpah ini aktifitas seru sih kalau di kelas Internasional, karena asia bahasanya hampir sama, jadi pasti susah nebaknya.
It's so good see Lauren from UK back , long time no see her , easily with Christina the best member of the channel 🎉😁
She's the best.
Every time there is Vietnamese representation, it makes me so happy ❤❤❤
Same!
Same
Oh I didn't think our Vietnam would be so famous
I'm Malaysian, as a Malaysian "terima kasih" means thank you in our language too. To be honest, Indonesia and Malaysia is really similar so we usually use the same words while talking in our native language.
But mostly when your people talk l don't understand what that mean
I'm pretty sure malaysian will say "terime" with "e", not "terima"
Indonesian is actually born from Malay + Dutch + Regional accent 😅 so Indonesia also has a lot accent in different island as well but the most common is Jawa accent because 60% of population of Indonesia is in Jawa island.
But different accent Lol
@@lukieleonardluhulima3888ya mungkin karena mereka masih ada aksen2 inggris nya ketika berbicara, karena beberapa kosakata bahasa inggris yg berakhiran A dibacanya E, contohnya Mega, Alpha, Arena (Huruf A nya dibaca E "jEruk)
I love how Ana and Andrea always ask how to say "tomato" to guess the person's language 😂😂😂😂
I felt really proud and immediately clicked the video when I saw Vietnam on the list ❤🎉 I’m so proud of my country, a small country but our people are so brave 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳
as Indonesian, even for me, guessing Asian Languages is hard.
Personally, I can't guess the country name if the clue is only a few words since every specific group of areas in Asia has similar pronunciation in their language (for my ears). I can only guess if they are speaking in long sentences since every language has a specific intonation. for example, I couldn't tell the difference between Thai, Vietnamese, Burmese, and Cambodian, until I heard how they talk in long sentences. I can also guess that foreign people will find it hard to guess Indonesian, Malaysian, and Tagalog since we have similar pronunciations but different Intonations.
well, in Indonesia itself we have around 700-ish completely different languages scattered around the country, and we can't even guess the meaning of the said language if it's from a different area.
12:50 Ana, you should learn all the Portuguese loanwords in Indonesia, because “house” is not one of them 😂 I have a video on Portuguese loan words in Indonesian, do check it out!
13:53 “Thank you” in Balinese is ᬲᬸᬓ᭄ᬲ᭄ᬫ (suksma) so it’s very different from our national language “terima kasih” in Indonesian.
14:51 Actually, the word for “thank you” in Bahasa Malaysia is also “terima kasih” but said in a different accent from ours, so that was not a really useful hunch 😅
I think there should be at least four languages to make it more tougher to guess. Two tonal languages like Thai and Vietnamese is good, it’s confusing for those who are not familiar with them. There should be another set of two agglutinative languages like Indonesian and Tagalog to make it even more challenging 😄
For Outdonesian, fun fact about "Terima Kasih" accent in Malaysia and Indonesia. Malaysian tend to slightly change the last vowel sound and silent the last "h", so it would sound like "Terima kase(h)". Meanwhile, Indonesian usually spell all the letters clearly and has more stronger accent.
(Nada bahasa Indonesia sangat Indah)
(dari pada Nada Bahasa Melayu Malaysia) 😊
Itu FAKTA !!!
@@adityarahmandaterimakasih tidak digunakan di malasia kebanyakan... orang malasia lebih cenderung menggunakan *Thank You* dibandingkan *Terima Kaseh* Ketika kamu berada disana orang akan menggunakan Bahasa Inggris Elisabeth dibandingkan bahasa Melayu sendiri mereka..yah kebanyakan orang malasia senang memakai bahasa Rojak dicampur Campur *(you i thankyou so school work but ofcourse lastweek Hospital nothing no)* dan lainnya inilah kosakata yang sering gunakan meskipun ada kata bahasa melayunya sendiri tapi tidak dipergunakan dengan sebaiknya
@@putradiar0304karena bahasa melayu Malasia minim kosakata dan penyebutan jadi Ketika mereka berbicara ingin mengartikan sesuatu terpaksa menggunakan/mengambil Kosakata British ini fakta.
Jangan heran ketika melihat orang malasia Berbicara lebih banyak ngomong bahasa inggris daripada melayu.

Lauren is fun and smart
Indonesian languange influenced bye Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, Dutch, English, and 70 local languanges in Indonesia
ngikutin World Friends dari subscribers 30k, sampai 1M ga pernah bosen, bagus banget buat belajar english. tapi mungkin untuk level medium
many Indonesian vocabulary are influenced by portugese because portugal colonized indonesia first a short period of time in 16th century
for example
bendera = bandaira
sepatu= sapatos
keju = queijo
mentega = mantaiga
natal = natal
There are 3,000 Dutch words, 1,500 Arabic words, 300 Chinese Cantonese words, 130 Portuguese words etc.
In fact, the most loanwords in Indonesian are from English
@@jajajajajaja1also, Hindi, Sanskrit exactly..

FYI The Toba Lake is about 100 kilometres (62 miles) long, 30 kilometres (19 mi) wide, and up to 505 metres (1,657 ft) deep. It is the largest lake in Indonesia and the largest volcanic lake in the world.
It fits 1,5x Singapore inside, so i guess it's pretty big
Balinese has complete diffrent language. But balinese mostly speak Indonesian as well since its our national language
Lauren welcome back! It’s been a while since we saw her but I’m so glad she’s back now! I adore her personality, I mean she’s funny in a very clever way
Indonesian languange not same with Malay
Very very different
You visit indonesia and malay
So alot different culture ,languange & so many
Jelas berbeda bahasa melayu malasia tidak berkembang dinegara sendiri bahkan didunia sekalipun.. banyak kosakata bertolakbelakang contohnya Indonesia menyebut anak-anak orang Malasia menyebut budak-budak,, Indonesia memanggil kakek nenek,, Malasia memanggil atuk makcik dan byk Lagi.
Lagian orang malasia cendrung menggunakan bahasa majikan Inggris Elisabeth dicampur2 berkomunikasi
It's not the same of course but similar since Indonesian is based on Malay language.

I'm Indonesian of Javanese ethnic and I strongly disagree with you. As Javanese from East Java, I'm unable to guess Javanese dialect from Tegal all the way to Cirebon. You can ask Central Javanese whether they understand people from cirebon speaking with their dialect.
I have better understanding reading Quran Translation in Malay than maybe read it in Javanese Dialect from Tegal. I can watch movie from Malaysia and understand 90% of it versus under 50% comprehension level while watching TH-cam video with Javanese Speaker from Tegal.
My point is both languages were actually much more similar than even dialect of regional languages in Indonesia.
you are all so cute guys in competitive , love from Indonesia
guys?
10:09, That's easy for me to guess and it's Indonesia because I understand "salamat pagi and Nama saya, translate to "Good morning, my name is" in Indonesian.
Nice work! I had no clue whatsoever. Loved the monkey hero depicted in Ana´s jacket. He should be praised. (Yes, he, not it).
Indonesian language is mainly from Bahasa Melayu (Malay Language) but it's actually a language that is taken from Arab, Netherland, Java, etc. Also because the Indonesian people had soo many ethnic and many different languages, the language sounds very different depend on who was speaking it. Not only that, most well Indonesian speaking sound will be a bit similiar to Malay but with Javanese polite accent and without D or M or something that sounds too Javanese.
And remember! Malay language it doesn't mean malaysian, because Malay languange it doesn't belong to malaysia. Indonesians also speak malay, and so bruneians and singaporeans
That's fvcking different, don't try mixing them. Indonesian is Indonesian id1ot
Indonesian language is mainly Melayu Riau (not Johor )
@Raven_Ray1 You Malayans, intents to claim Bahasa Indonesia too.. Funny !!
Sok tau loe ah
"Balinese" she said 😂
Bal is one of Indonesian Province and they do have their own local language.. but all of Indonesian from Sumatra island, Java island, Bali island, Papua island, Borneo island, and Sulawesi island, do the same thing when they want to say "thank you" with "terima kasih".. one more thing, Bali is a part of Indonesia for real
Remember when someone said "Bali is the overrated country", like WHAT?
Beda2 terima kasihnya om

Indonesia is rich cultures, many local languages, etc
i watched 4 videos of this channel and never come to my mind that indonesian language will have that much difficulties in term of pronounciation and translation. i grew up bilingual (indonesian as republic language and javanesse as my native language) and still indonesian has the easiest way to use. these videos are actually surprising me.
also it's actually "bahasa indonesia", u guys shouldn't just say it as "bahasa" only, cz bahasa means language so pls educate yourself (im talking to many people in the comments)

Among Asian languages, Vietnamese and Thai sound the closest, the vowels are almost similar.
In term of closest, Definitely Indonesian and Malaysian would be the closest
@@rifianggriawan5595 I'm talking about the sound, especially for someone who doesn't speak the language, Vietnam and Thai sound similar. But if we include everything, grammar and syntax, you're right, Indonesian and Malaysian.
@@asdfgh-bs3wxdid you hear Laos, Cambodia and Thai, their languages are similar, they can guess (not 100% understand) each other even they are speaking their own language.

To knew and guess foreing languages. The best way is you should know what the speak thank you on their own language. Like Terimakasih is ini Indonesian. Sawatee kap (krap) in Thai. Xie xie in China. Etc

yes bcs indonesian language specifically born in 1928 so not very old language but spoken by 273 millions people
Indonesia doesn't have an accent, so it's easy to combine other languages, because Indonesia has more than 700 languages, one of which is Balinese. And it has 2 continents, namely Asia and Australia, such as Turkey, Europepa and asia.
I wish they would specify the dialect of vietnamese being spoken since the 3 main dialects sound different.

14:50 Malay also say "terima kasih"(thank you). Malay & Indonesian are 90% similar, except when she say "Universitas" which is from Dutch influence because Indonesia was colonized by Dutch. Malay would say 'Universiti' because Malaysia was colonized by British, not Dutch.
90%?
we have so many similar words but different words at the same moment.
