Not only does getting the "perfect" colour take time... maintenance takes A LOT of time, money, and effort as well. People often don't think about that when they choose a hair colour.
So I started bleaching my own hair. After watching countless videos, fails and people like hair Buddha. I managed to do it myself for about a year successfully - redoing my roots every 6-8 weeks until I got sick of it. My friend decided to also start bleaching her own hair. Do you think she watched any tutorials? Nope. So far she luckily hasn’t burnt her hair off but it has banding, some parts are orange others are platinum. And she has to keep going to a salon to get it fixed. But then goes right back and makes the same mistakes over and over again. I literally cannot with her.
I have learned WAY MORE from Hair Buddha than I ever did from Brad Mondo, just sayin’. So, I am definitely a fan! Plus, I did a test strand the other day using 20 volume developer on my box dyed hair and it came out beautifully! I didn’t use Blondme, however. I used the new Ion charcoal bleach that is supposed to lift 10 levels. The 20 vol. gave me enough time so I didn’t have to rush and my hair didn’t get fried. So, thank you for all the advice, Hair Buddha! 🥰
No srs I learned pretty quickly after effing up my hair the 1st time, how does it take someone 6-10 times(especially as a grown adult) to stop messing up??😭
I mean yes, it’s patchy BUT I think the color itself suits her pretty well! If it was done right, it would look GORGEOUS on her ♥️ I think peach would also match her eyes
I recently went to a local salon for my hair (colour correction to match my greying dark blonde/brown hair). History of indigo amd henna, crazy colours etc. 7 hours i was there. She did an amazing job. Although may need to go back for some further treatment, the green from the indigo is very persistent.
Pink is one of the most easy to achieve I once lightened the ends of my hair to an orange color and then applied hot pink, I looked like an electric 🦩🦩🦩 flamingo, it was cute but I prefer natural hair colors, pastel pink on the other hand is tricky.☺️
I love your reaction videos and you have convinced me to NEVER bleach my own hair. It's amazing how they can't save money in the long run, not to mention the time Thank you Hair Buddah for sharing your experience ❤
This is great! I'm learning so much from others on what NOT to do. Coloring your hair is no joke. 😅 I love her glasses, tho. The color on her glasses is so nice. 🤗 And I like her. She has good humor, and I hope she can get the hair color she wants from listening to your tips. I appreciate your tips on how pigments really work and hair color and all that. Having knowledge of that makes a big difference. 🤗
Omg! The tool is taking itself and doing it for me 😂 I'm convinced if this young lady and hair buddha does a short reaction to this video TOGETHER, we'd all have a treat ♡♡♡♡♡
Hair Buddah always makes my Monday fun ❤️Well at least she wasn’t going to work in an hour 🤣 takes time for sure I grew out black to go blonde took me 6 months but it was healthy .
I mean sorta cute at the end, it's giving me 'My little pony' vibes for some reason! I'm always just shocked and happy their hair didn't fall out, when they start saying the Bleach is so hot my scalp hurts; and in this case melted the plastic hair bag! xo
@@Franniiv3 no it really didn't look very damaged at all! I understand the little pony's thing too . My daughter had a lot of them. There was one that was very close to her color!
Thank you, Hair Buddha. You are clearly doing your best to help people with their critical thinking skills. It’s not your fault you say the same advice day after day after day and still these people are a hot mess.
Brilliant. The info in these videos is so helpful. Your reactions though 😂😂😂. I was laughing so hard my partner came in to see what was going on! I have learned so much about going grey but my research has been extensive. Thank you for providing such great content.
My friend wants to dye thwir hair blonde and i kept 2:45 saying to her " nothing over 20 volume and sections lots of sections!!" Then i told her to watch you to see how to bleach your hair properly like do not go near the roots.
I don't know what happened?!? You didn't plan. You didn't prepare. You didn't think. You really didn't even try to do any step well. You slapped bleach and color on and hoped for a miracle. Hair Buddha is too kind to say anything unkind, and we love him for that. ❤
Oh my gosh! I just heard about a device from L'Oreal to dye hair. Apparently it distributes the dye evenly. It's called Colorsonic. Can't wait to hear your opinion on this, Hair Buddha 😊
Your facial expressions and reaction comments throughout this entire video had me on the floor laughing Buddha 😂😂 Thank you for that 🤣. You could send her one of your “Sections!” t-shirts for best video 🌟
As a psychologist, I'm pretty sure that there's a direct relation between how badly this people mess their hair and their IQ. It can sound mean, but I'm not trying to be rude, I'm trying to be scientific. I bet that there's something wrong with the abstract thinking on this people (abstract thinking is an important factor when measuring the IQ). They struggle to manage with things that they cannot directly see with their eyes. And it is not just the struggle of not being able to see every single hair on the mirror (specially the back of the head), that obviously makes it harder to work with for everybody... This is a step further. This people struggle with being aware of and think about what they don't physically see with their eyes, and they aren't able to overcome this in order to achieve a good job even without seeing everything, while other people can. No one can see every single hair in the mirror, but some people can rely on other resources as common sense, imagination and even the sense of touch in order to achieve a good job, while some people get stuck in the "not seeing everything" phase and directly proceed to achieve a bad job with poor to none strategies. And it doesn't only applies to doing their own hair, I'm pretty sure that this people also struggle with other tasks in their lifes that require similar cognitive abilities. In conclusion, the way you interact with your hair (when cutting, coloring, styling...) says A LOT about your brain and it also gives clues about your IQ (at least it does to professionals).
I missed my colors so I dyed mine a few days ago. I did my own “ombré” per I had existing lighter spots. I got the manic panic flash lightening kit which had 30 vol 😮 which scared me not gonna lie; manic panics hot hot pink color. Processed for maybe 30 mins and mine was less brassy than usual and I didnt tone it. My hair is so vibrant I even put the color on my dark brown hair and it gave it a tint of color.i love it ❤ (I’ll definitely use a toner next time. ) Couldn’t have done it with out research and advice from Hair Buddha !! 🪮

Granted, this mission seemed doomed from the start but she does bring up an issue I have. I attempt to cover the grey and I need my glasses on in order to spot the areas in most need... but then my ear piece ends up right in the spot that I need to cover.
Hair Buddha, will you ever do any videos with extensions?? I'm curious about those. Do you have recommendations for someone who has thinning hair that is fine, and misses having thick long hair?? Thank you for all your videos. I love your information, and the laughs.
I’m going gray. I’ve been thinking about speeding up the process, so that I can use a silver toner. Watching these videos has me wondering if I just shouldn’t wait it out.
As a stylist, if you want, call the salon where you get your hair done, and see if your stylist has an opening for a consultation about doing your hair the way you described it. And let her do a strand test so both of you can see what it's going to look like. If you like the results, then make an appointment.
I think if someone wants to try to dye their hair a fashion color at home... they definately should lean more towards vibrant/vivid jewel tones, rather than pastel shades... Pastels are so much harder and require more patience and skill... not to say that vivid colors don't also require skill... but vibrant/vivid/jewel tone colors cover the yellow of bleached hair much easier... I get my hair dyed royal purple and my stylist is able to just bleach my roots one time (and for some reason my hair just sucks up the bleach and my whole head will go bleach blonde even though she only puts the bleach on my roots lol... or maybe something to do with the fumes?) and the royal purple is able to easily cover over the bleach blonde.

yikes
Not just her, it blows my mind how many people start bleaching their hair in a CLOSED ROOM WITH NO VENTILATION to begin with!
Not only does getting the "perfect" colour take time... maintenance takes A LOT of time, money, and effort as well. People often don't think about that when they choose a hair colour.
I had a hairdresser advise me not to do the colors I wanted due to maintenence. She knew I didn't like to fuss, or come in all the time.
Yup. People are always after me to get lowlights. But I know I won't be able to keep it up so I don't. Self awareness is a great thing
When the vein on Hair Buddha's head starts popping out, you know it's going to be a poop show! 😂
🤣
This baffled me. I was baffled by how baffled she was. Girl…
Sections, people! Sections!
i tryed putting some color on my hair too, and the best thng that worked out- was doing sections! -it worked out soo well!
Your face is priceless when she shows "light spots"
“I’m a Leo and I match that right now” True statement 😂
Your facial expressions are the commentary we need😂 Thank you for both your channels!
That was so chaotic! As a stylist, I was cringing inside. To each their own, but whoa, that was all over the place!
Multicolored is such a nice way to say splotchy
I was so concerned Hair Buddha would have a heart attack with this girl😂😂😂 Everybody except her knew what happened 😅
This is a how not to video! Bless her heart, she is braver than me! Thank you Hair Buddha for a great start to the week!😊
Don't worry, we laughing too)))

If she can get everyone to take their glasses off, then it should work in her favor 😂
Good gracious gravy, this is chaotic!!! 🤦🏻♀️
I will say, Manic Panic Hot Hot Pink is quite strong and will still be a pretty true pink even on dark yellow hair. Love that stuff!
Aaahhhh hair Buddha happiness. Love your reactions
At this point I'm not sad for them anymore… it doesn't take long to look up how to do this, and then they're all " OMG, WHY???" really?

I've used flamingo with going platinum. I wanted rose gold, and it was a great way to achieve it by adding pink to a light golden blonde
