    Hey there,
In this video I take a look at a parabolic heater. This is the as seen on TV Handy Heater Heatwave. The Heatwave retails between $60 and $100 depending on the retailer.

Agree with you Jeff, the safety feature is great, however the oscillation feature was disappointing. I only seemed to get a small inch of movement both ways? The warm glow was nice, the quietness of the unit was remarkable, so nice to not hear a unit sounding like the Space shuttle taking off. Even just the 2 settings i could live with. But they missed a homerun by the oscillating function not so good. 1-10? I give it a strong 7.5 as a remote would have been nice to. Thanks my friend

Hey man can seem to find the manual for this online anywhere almost like one doesn't exist, mine gave out, shut down out of no where, and simply won't turn back on. Is there some sort of reset button?

I bet that would be good outside too
It would be good for a personal heater in a workspace… You could aim it right at yourself and be very comfortable
    Thanks Jeff

I agree. The directions tell is it could be a 3 seasoned heater on a porch. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Have you tested it outside? We spend a lot of time on my back porch all year. We currently have a fire pit and use a tank top heater on top of a propane tank. That works well but it’s a pain having to refill those tanks all the time.

I haven't tested it outside but manufacturer says this can be used on a 3 seasoned porch. Thanks for stopping by and commenting

Can anyone tell me if this heater is safe to use around birds or is teflon, PTFE and PFOA free?

Wish I could find someone who does a direct comparison to Presto's heater.

That acu-rite temperature gauge is a thermometer, not a thermostat.

This heater is crap. 180 day warranty is crap. If you want a good quality and efficient(most heat as infrared) radiant heater, spend the extra for a heater that's made in Korea for the Korean market. It will last decades.
