    4th gen battery tray will solve the problem of the tray being too small

      I'm just in the process of updating my battery to a 27F and was looking into 4th gen battery trays to accomodate the longer length. Do you know if the tray fits in no problem, or does it require modification?

    Group 27F was the original battery spec'd for the Gen1 FJ. The 27F can be difficult to find since many auto parts stores have standardized on Group 24 but the Costco-s around here carry them. Much better battery! Thank you for letting others know.

    I just found your channel and I love what you’re doing! But, I must tell you that when you buy a car battery from a retailer, it shouldn’t matter what vehicle you’re putting it into. I worked in auto parts for 7 years. When you buy the battery, you’re buying the warranty as well. Battery manufacturers price the battery according to group size, cca/ca rating, and warranty period. I don’t know which store you bought that 27f from, but you are entitled to the warranty duration stated. You may have gotten a “counter specialist” who didn’t know how to handle a battery prorate. You are literally paying for and own the extended warranty with a battery, unless the store didn’t retain your purchase information in their system, or you didn’t have your own proof of purchase (receipt), when attempting to swap a bad battery for a new one.
    Again, your channel rocks! I’m definitely going to keep watching!

      It was Costco and since it was off the shelf, they basically sold it like they do their marine batteries. Just 1 year warranty.

    Great video and very informative! I put an Interstate MTP-24-INTL on my 3rd gen can't remember if it had an F after the 24 though but it's just a lil bit longer than the battery plate these 3rd gens come with for some reason it only has 18month of warranty though i believe its due to my location but sadly was more expensive than these ones

    Hey I just found this channel and as a 3rd Gen T4R owner it’s exactly what I need. I was wondering if you could at some point come up with a video on the rear tailgate window, mine has issue where if rolled down all the way it rattles around in the tailgate, and it also shoves one side of the glass up against the tailgate when it’s going down, so a video on realigning/tightening that system would be great.

    • @PhoRunner
      @PhoRunner  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately I don’t know how to repair that but perhaps one side of the track is loose

    Hey man,
    So I’m trying to build out my 4runner to be basically just like yours. However, there’s a few things I’d request you do a video of if you’ve got time.
    Can you show how you cleaned up your electrical. The early video you have already had it pretty complete doesn’t show the step by step that you used for other videos.
    Additionally, would you be willing to do a video on your custom tent build? If so that would be super helpful and I would appreciate it.
    You told me to find you on Facebook in the past but I couldn’t and also I deleted my Facebook. Is there any way to reach you for questions.
    Thanks again the videos are super helpful.
