I also was sad when he died. He was scheduled to appear at a local fair where I lived and I felt a bit more pain than usual for a loss as I was going to see him. IDK if it was selfish for me to feel that way, but it is what it was. I still feel a personal touch and pain for that day

I grew up in the county next to where Keith is from...Elliott County, Kentucky. I loved cruising by his house and waving at him, family members, band members...whoever. His death hit hard and the way he died still gets to me. Thank you for doing one by the man who really was "No Stranger to the Rain". RIP Keith 💙

I don't know how many of you know his back story,. I mean when he was a teenager. He and Ricky Skaggs where in Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs traveling band before they were 16 I think. It has been said that something happened way back then that lead to his drinking. Apparently it was very traumatic and unfortunately the only way he knew how to deal with it was alcohol!!! Such a waste of an amazing talent!!! RIP Mr. Keith 😢
Keith Whitley is a legend, but unfortunately a short lived legend. Lorrie Morgan, the woman and his actual wife in the video, did several posthumous "duets" with Keith that was pretty good. I think others are suggesting other Keith Whitley songs, especially the "duets", but yeah... good stuff from a good time!

Kieth Whitley was so great loved during his BlueGrass time he like Ricky Skaggs went Country for the money then Ricky went back to his roots and I think Kieth would have too if he hadn't died. This is one of Keiths lesser hit's there there are many more.
Keith Whitley always wanted to be a country singer but from where he's from he had to start out in bluegrass because Kentucky was probably famous for it and he succeeded it well, i loved his bluegrass years too.
