This was a really good episode I really enjoyed how the Flashforwards reflected what was happening in the present with Emiko and Oliver I also just Love what they’ve done with Laurel and Felicity’s friendship it’s really given both of those characters new life and I enjoyed Felicity’s journey of getting over her fear of Diaz
I theorized after I read Adrian Paul's name that Duncan is Dante and I was right. So disappointed that they didn't recognized the Highlander from the TV show is playing Dante like they never watch the show. Oliver should experience death and become immortal, so he could find the right sword to counter Duncan's katana. If he meet Duncan again, make sure he behead him and say "There can be only one" before receiving his quickening.

The actor playing Dante played Duncan McCloud in the Highlander TV show for 6 seasons in the 90's.That show was similar to Arrow as it also employed flashbacks every week.
Good episode imo . I enjoyed Felicity’s arc of getting over her fear of Diaz , her dynamic with Laurel continues to be a highlight of the season. The parallel sibling bonding between Oliver and Emiko aswell as Mia and William in the Flashforwards . I especially like how they show Emiko as how Oliver very much used to be in S1 , it serves as a nice parallel aswell as shows how far Oliver has come . In terms of the flashforwards , the bonding between Mia and William was nice . The actors seem to have good chemistry and this episode me kinda like William and the actor more , he’s charming and got a fun sense of humor to him . The main plot with Argus was ok. It’s unfortunate that it seems like the Suicide Squad is already disbanded because their dynamic seemed kinda fun but I ultimately found the team up with just Diaz more engaging . I already kinda like Dante as our Big Bad , the actor is very smooth and suave . However , I certainly did not expect him and Emiko to know each other and Emiko apparently working for him , I guess we can see where Emiko has gotten her training from. Also , Diaz supposedly being burned alive was crazy , I still somehow doubt he is dead because it’s hard to kill him lol but I wonder who lit him on fire because them not showing us makes me think it’s someone we know .
15:24 - "Imagine what he'd be with four inch knives." Oh, yeah? Imagine what he'd be with a 24" katana. :D Honestly, I was so hoping they'd recognize him, and so sad when they didn't. I nearly jumped out of my chair yelling when I realized who Dante's actor is. This is going to be oh so good.
I loved everything of this episode. Emiko saying "This is my mission" the same way that Oliver used to say "This is my crusade" is nice a parallel. Same with the whole attitude of Emiko not trusting on him and not liking him touching her stuffs. It's so Oliver S1. Oliver is so mature now. All his actions, the way he wants to do everything in the "light" the correct way. Same on how he talks and express his thoughts with Rene and Felicity. "The dragon" burned alive was ironic and I loved it. My suspects on who did that are either Laurel or someone working for Dante (I bet for Emiko too) I liked Felicity's arc with her fear of Diaz being alive, she is pregnant and her fear was so much worae than before I liked the choice she did. Oliver having his wife's back and that whole conversation was such a relief. Diggle supporting Felicity (finally) was a redemption in my eyes (I wasn't diggin his character this season). Finally I can see him as the Dig I always liked. Laurel has been awesome so far, I really like that she is good now and she like her job. Her dynamic with Felicity works so well. The future stuff is awesome, the parallel with Emiko/Oliver and Mia/William is a nice. The conversation between all the future characters was so interesting and as always left behind a lot of question: What happened with John Diggle Jr? Why was Connor adopted? Is Oliver death? or is he just hide all this years? Why William never received Oliver's messages? Why Felicity didn't reach him? she a hacker she could easily reach to him somehow. I like the chemistry of the siblings and their resemblance to their parents. I just need more Roy. Dante is interesting and very capable in general to be our big bad. Dante is Emiko's adoptive father? wha the hell with Emiko? Great episode and season overall.
Action scenes like 15:14 are when I really miss old school Arrow. Didn’t really hide much behind the slow motion and super flashy moves. Was just solid fight choreography and direction in a great setting (not just an open room)
Could Connor Hawke be Digs brothers son? His name was Andy Jr. or A.J. Growing up and finding out about his dad it seems right that his would change his name.
Aaron's right, it needs to be someone with access to Slabside. It could be Laurel feeling she owed Felicity? Or maybe Lila or even Diggle......What an ending though!!
Awesome episode and im confused lol, Conner Hawk is adopted ? Thought he was Johns biological son since Barry messed up the time line and wow is Diaz dead ? He's either badly burned or dead
So I think John and lyla adopt another kid aka Conner hawke, the writers confirm that the legends episode isn’t canon and Conner was John diggle jr but here it’s a completely different person but idk
Crisis will reverse the gender switch and they adopt a boy and name him john to honor their former son. Calling it now. Crisis will also be why oliver is gone, probably but hope not
Maybe in the Original Timeline, when Sara Diggle was still alive, they adopted a son and named him John Diggle Jr. who changed his name to Connor Hawke. Now in the Current Timeline they have a son named John Diggle Jr. and they still adopted another kid named Connor Hawke. Maybe his mom was killed during an Argus mission leaving him behind and they adopt him. Just a theory.
The movie is called Birds of Prey and The Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, not Gotham City Sirens. Idris Elba is now playing Deadshot in The Suicide Squad.
I thoroughly enjoyed his episode til the end with the twists. I still don't like the future & wish they'd stop, I just want more Connor Hawke. I loved the development between Emiko & Oliver, that's why the twist at the end she's somehow involved with Dante. I loved the Suicide Squad action wish there was more but I guessed that got shelved when Gunn said yes the Suicide Squad 2 so it had to end cause DC are idiots & we can't have 2 of something. I personally loved Diaz as a villain & I'm hoping that he's not dead (cause once again every big bad dies) & that strength serum thing comes in to play to keep him alive for the future, he was a great Kingpin type guy pulling strings for behind like he did & think he was only overshadowed (not liked as much) is because of how freaking good Prometheus was.
I think it couldve been cody Rhodes who killed diaz. he supposedly burnt to death in slabside because of diaz. but possibly didnt die and is still in there
Imagine a Dante | China White | Emiko | Talia team up, I know it's never ever going to happen, but if it did, that would actually be insane. 3/4 of them can use Dante's knives and Talia has her sword. Talia and China White are arguably equal to Oliver and if not, both of them together should be. Dante is probably better than Oliver and Emiko is not bad. Diggle would be no match as China has taken him down every single time they've fought and Rene is no match for any of them. This team up I feel would be so much stronger than the one Cayden James put together.
