Mia not wanting to be William's assistant kind of reminded me of season 2 when Felicity complained about Oliver making her his assistant to keep their cover so that was a fun little reference and parallel because William→ Oliver, Mia→ Felicity

So, it's actually more like William → Oliver/Overwatch and Mia →Felicity/Green Arrow. It's perfect.

i thought this was an okay episode , i feel this episode depends on how much you have liked the future stuff so far. im enjoying both Mia and William aswell as their dynamic more and more as the season progresses, it was nice to get some background on how Mia learned to fight, having Nyssa teach her was nice . i thought her issue with Felicity continue to be a Vigilante behind her back even though she herself had said that it was too dangerous to go to Star City due to Oliver's activities as a vigilante was fairly understandable ( if not a bit forced). Connor Hawke and Zoe are both fine and its nice to see Dinah, Roy and Felicity in the future because we already have a connection to them. the action scenes were also well done ( my favorite was Mia vs the Guards). i understand the flash-forwards show the legacy that Oliver and Team Arrow have left behind but i just wish it wasnt this bleak or depressing.Anyway , this did feel like a back door pilot to a " Arrow Beyond"-esque show so in that regard, it did make me somewhat intrigued to check a supposed show about this. i think the actors do well enough in the roles, particularly Katherine McNamara ( though she does come across a bit trying to hard to be tough sometimes) but i would be interested to see her take up her dad's mantle as the new Green Arrow, William as Overwatch , Connor Hawke as Spartan and Zoe as Black Canary with Dinah and Roy as mentors.
I actually thought this was a really good episode, so I suppose if Eric still didn't like it that much I don't think he ever will. For me, knowing Arrow is ending, I actually love that they giving us a glimpse into the future, and I appreciate the flash forwards a lot more now than before we knew Arrow was ending.
I didn't mean he doesn't love the show, it feels like he definitely does. I just meant the flash forwards, which to be fair he always was harsher on the flashbacks as well.
@@rogueninja8490 There's a lot of double standards going on that I don't like with his comments. He doesn't like characters who are all snark and brooding, but isn't Heat Wave his favourite Legend? He wants more Green Arrow in his Arrow show, but he loved the prison arc where Oliver never suited up once. Doesn't add up at all.
James bandords daughter played younger Mia. Also cool to know that someone like nyssa. Which was basically around merlyns and Oliver's level trained her. Bamford fight choreography and camera work is also great. The actor who plays old Mia does all her stunts. She was trained in martial arts for another show.
I actually really enjoyed this episode. Loving the chemistry/energy of the actors that play Mia, William, and Connor. Mia honestly kinda reminds me of S1 Oliver. Nyssa training her was a nice surprise! I just want to know what happened to Oliver, I think him being dead because of Crisis is too obvious.
Personally really enjoyed this episode. I love Mia's character, she's snarky and a badass kinda like Oliver and her dynamic with William is great. Obviously loved seeing Dinah, Roy and Rene. I'd give it a solid 8/10
I loved this episode and so funny how the poll question is this episode lol, this raised questions tho like why did Roy have that rage fit and what the hell happened for Rena to change his mind
So Eric said he can't relate to Mia because she's one note (angry, sarcastic) but that's how Oliver was for all of season 1 lol Stephen Amell has grown so much as an actor and has evolved the character of Oliver so much that I think people forget how bland and always angry Oliver was in season 1.
I thought the episode was fine. Definitely didn't think it was bad. I'm not sure I'm following why Eric just dislikes it so much just because it wasn't about Oliver and he wasn't a fan of one character in an ensemble. Maybe I'm missing something.
i'm guessing Mia is going to be born during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover and Oliver is going to die shortly after that scene. The Crossover is going to be Arrow's final episode.
The quote that describes my love/hate relationship with this show "I like green arrow in my green arrow" - Eric, 2019. I just feel sad that the show is ending and we have to watch other characters. Let arrow have his epic send off! Love you the channel guys btw
So you're telling me aaaaaaaaaalllllll of season one Oliver wasn't just" one note"? i was beginning to think Stephen Amell couldn't move his face (Bella Swan 2.0, if you will). Literally Oliver was the embodiment of "angry and sarcastic". I am sorry Eric but I completely disagree with your assessment here. Mia IS just like Oliver. I love how William is sooooooo like Felicity (RIP Samantha) lol and I am loving the chemistry between William and Mia. They are so fun to watch and I love how they already have this brother sister back and forth thing going on. It reminds me of my brothers and I. This definitely seemed like a set up for something, a spin off. As long as Arrow ends happily, I am so down the watch the Mia and William and Conner show!
Dana says- I enjoyed this episode more than I have the other flash-forwards we've seen this season. I do see what you (Eric) are saying about Mia, but I think it's very in character for someone who has grown up the way she did to not work well with others and not only not appreciate or want their help, but want to push them away out of distrust. She grew up from birth in isolation from the world, being told the reason was because it wasn't safe for her -basically that it was her, Felicity, (and Nyssa) against the world. She was taught to be ready to fight and defeat anyone, and then the very person who was supposed to be the only one she could really trust lied to her and was working as a vigilante behind her back,. When she challenges her mom about it, Felicity outright tells her that she's not as important to her as being a hero. I might not like that she's almost a one-note character, full of bitterness, anger and wanting to do everything on her own. I can certainly understand why she's that way and think it's exactly how that character would be at this point. Hopefully Aaron is right and she can open up more from here.
you guys say you would want either arrow or deathstroke to train your kids how to fight, great choices but me personally, id choose sara lance aka the white canary to train my kids, she is just such a badass
I loved this episode way more than I thought I would lol Mia is very much like her season 1-2 father, angry and moody only thing is she smiles more then he did
Mia also reminds me of Nora from earlier this season were she's so angry at Iris but we don't find for awhile and then in one episode she flips and gets angry at Barry for always putting himself in danger and not thinking of his family. They parallel each other were they know their father is gone and they built up this whole lie as an outlet because they feel abandoned but in Mia's case the lie was set by the city. Nora's character has grown and Mia has only been in a few episodes and I think this is a turning point for her character. How long did it take Nora to forgive Iris?
I wonder if the helmet at the end is perhaps based on the comic book Prometheus helmet - a portable version of ARCHER which also downloads the skills required to the wearer to defeat any opponent.
My first dislike for this channel, and rightfully so. Too nitpicky of this episode and even missed some key details that answers some of their complaints. I respect their opinions, of course.
Sorry you said you don't understand a big wall blocking an area off? Are you not from the USA? Isn't that something that your president claimed he would do? The wall separating the rich from the poor area seems very realistic and I'd imagine a lot of places would do it if they could get away with it
Eric's dislike of all things flash forward are on a whole other level. xD I mean, sure they aren't my favourite things about the season, but I've never really had any particular problem with them.
I think that Mia got both stubbornness from Felicity and Oliver does Felicity is hard-headed when it comes to she wanted to kill Diaz and John was like we have another we have a plan to catch them and then Oliver he's hard-headed he thinks his way is his way A song all through the season so I don't I'm just finding it hard to understand y Mia's stubbornness is so bad in your opinion
Yea I actually liked the episode but I can see how some people have a hard time feeling certain things because of our lack of knowledge and character development for example I didn't even know Mia and Connor were a thing so it's hard to feel some sort of betrayal because we haven't seen anything before but I thought the action was cool.
He said to rene about the mask: Take Archer global and ELIMINATE all vigilantes FORGOOD. Then Felicity says that Oliver’s disappearance is on her and then shows her initiating Archer
I think she was just saying her going after galaxy one was personal because shes the one who created Archer which they're going to use to destroy vigilantes

My issue with the future stuff is that it doesn’t matter at all. Unless they do time traveling, it’s never going to tie in with the present day. All it does is put limitations on the present day, because now we know certain characters can’t die because they’re still alive in the future. Like when the Star City Slayer cut Dinah’s throat. Had it not been for the future scenes, I would’ve been like “Oh shit. Did they just kill off Dinah?” But because I know Dinah is still alive in the future, I knew she was fine and felt nothing in that scene.
Agreed. Granted, I've had a crush on Kat McNamara for years so she can do no wrong in my eyes anyway, but damn, Mia is badass and such a perfect mix of Oliver's stubbornness and brooding with Felicity's snark, intelligence and desperation for a better future whatever the cost.
Green arrow was in this episode. Connor Hawke is there lol. If this was a perfect world Mia would be Oliver’s sister , and Conner would be his half black son. But they changed it for the show
It was a good episode and it's clear that this was a test chapter to see the reaction and acceptance of the people regarding the rumored spin-off with this team and with Mia as the main character
Blind wave: we have a poll to see if people would want an “Arrow 2040” Arrow: here’s a demo. Anyway This future either becomes null and void, because of Crisis, or Crisis is what causes the future. Of course without a continuation of the show this future is just going to leave a bad taste in people’s mouth.
I disagree with Eric. I mean cmon. Even if they did reveal so much more about Mia, he’d still not want a spin off, but things change bro. Oliver is probably dead in the future, you can’t be a vigilante forever. We know Mia was trained by Nysa, we know she grew up without Oliver being around. Other things need to be revealed about her story, I really think there’s more to her origin. I also think there’s more to this next crossover then just something bad happening to Arrow. Arrow in general isn’t the big focus when Crisis comes around. So when that guy commented on the poll saying It wouldn’t make sense if this show existed in the future when the other shows are taking place in the present. Something may happen to the other shows also, that result into those shows being affected. This season of the Flash I got a feeling doesn’t actually just affect “The Flash” it affects the whole Arrow-verse. I got a great feeling there gonna have a spin-off Of Arrow.
The thing with flash forwards is that they, by their very nature, first create gaps and then fill them afterwards. It requires patience. I'm guessing that's Eric's main problem with it. A spin-off show could help filling in those blanks. Next season of Arrow will be 10 episodes, if the spin-off is 13 episodes to be aired right after Arrow's last season, it could act as a direct (sort of) continuation.
I have to say the camera work this episode was pretty fuckin spectacular and fun fact the little girl version of Mia was played by James Bamford’s daughter so that’s pretty rad

uhu what is 'mia' her name in the comics?
@@yutz1948 mia darden a.k.a speedy not thea. Is who I think this character is based off
She is not from the comics so doubt it
@@fembrucewayne1904 no I know that. But I'm saying she has the same first name as speedy from the comics. She even wore a cloak similar to the character. I'm guessing the writers are taking inspiration from the comic book character
@@izodblackcrime doubt that they even read comics also they already said her name comes from Moira, olivera mother. Also the character from the comics is way different and taking her as inspiration would be very incest-y since her and Connor are siblings and in arrow they are a couple
I’m happy Aaron gets it
Eric reactions:
Beginning of S6: Didn't like Diggle as Green Arrow arc because Oliver wasn't the Green Arrow
S6E19: Diaz centric where Oliver only appeared in one scene - liked that episode
Beginning of S7: loved the prison arc, even though Oliver never suited up
S7E16: flash forward episode; hated it because Oliver wasn't in it.
Logic 🧠💥🤯
theory Roy was killed but Thea or someone else resurrect him with other Lazarus Pit that why he is in Berserk mode when someone hurt him and why he was on the island, and felicity apparently create hes own Sky Net
People keep saying this but nyssa destroyed all the pits and Roy has always had anger issues.
i thought this was an okay episode , i feel this episode depends on how much you have liked the future stuff so far.
im enjoying both Mia and William aswell as their dynamic more and more as the season progresses, it was nice to get some background on how Mia learned to fight, having Nyssa teach her was nice . i thought her issue with Felicity continue to be a Vigilante behind her back even though she herself had said that it was too dangerous to go to Star City due to Oliver's activities as a vigilante was fairly understandable ( if not a bit forced).
Nut
I can't believe they referenced Spiderman in a DC TV show
I actually thought this was a really good episode, so I suppose if Eric still didn't like it that much I don't think he ever will. For me, knowing Arrow is ending, I actually love that they giving us a glimpse into the future, and I appreciate the flash forwards a lot more now than before we knew Arrow was ending.
He gives this show a lot of crap but not the flash or legends. You're right I don't think he will ever like this show
I didn't mean he doesn't love the show, it feels like he definitely does.
I personally didn't like Nyssa training her at such a young age and then expecting her not lead a vigilante life. Idk I thought that a bit unfair
@@BhBc8f8
Her mother just wanted her to be able to protect herself. She didn't want her to be like herself when Oliver was in prison.
Personally really enjoyed this episode. I love Mia's character, she's snarky and a badass kinda like Oliver and her dynamic with William is great. Obviously loved seeing Dinah, Roy and Rene. I'd give it a solid 8/10
So, when are we getting Harold Finch and Mr Reese in here?
A million times YES!
I loved this episode and so funny how the poll question is this episode lol, this raised questions tho like why did Roy have that rage fit and what the hell happened for Rena to change his mind
I loved Nyssa being back!!! I hope she also comes back for episode 18----- spoilers----- because Sara is coming back and I love me some Nyssara scenes
Beboo Worshipper2808 indeed
I have never disagreed with Eric more :P
So Eric said he can't relate to Mia because she's one note (angry, sarcastic) but that's how Oliver was for all of season 1 lol Stephen Amell has grown so much as an actor and has evolved the character of Oliver so much that I think people forget how bland and always angry Oliver was in season 1.
Amell has charisma. The Mia actress doesn't have it.
I thought the episode was fine. Definitely didn't think it was bad. I'm not sure I'm following why Eric just dislikes it so much just because it wasn't about Oliver and he wasn't a fan of one character in an ensemble. Maybe I'm missing something.
Dang I was hoping they'd notice Mia's shoe fly off in the last fight then suddenly reappear on her foot lol
Lmaoo. Aaron's 3rd baby story needs to be brought up again for podcast.
i'm guessing Mia is going to be born during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover and Oliver is going to die shortly after that scene.
The Crossover is going to be Arrow's final episode.
LOVING Aaron's Felicity shirt lol ♥
I usually agree with Eric, or at least see where he is coming from. Couldn't do that this time. Mia is a developing character.
She's nothing like Oliver.
12:56 Did the arrow go through his hand?
I was just about to go to bed... but I gotta see this!!!😀
you guys say you would want either arrow or deathstroke to train your kids how to fight, great choices but me personally, id choose sara lance aka the white canary to train my kids, she is just such a badass
I loved this episode way more than I thought I would lol Mia is very much like her season 1-2 father, angry and moody only thing is she smiles more then he did
That moment when they cut back forth between Eric and Erin while singing 🤣🤣
4:22 song?
I agree with Aaron on this one
Loved Shane’s first kid birth story 😂😂😂
I have been enjoying everything from the flash forwards all the season and this episode was great to get more feelings about whats happening
Mia is definitely Oliver's daughter lol
Kevin O'Grady she resembles him a lot and Ethan resembles John
This just foreshadowing that oliver will die in infinite crisis. And flash as well??
Damn am I spoiled?
So in Arrowverse it was Felicity who created the Brother Eye (Archer). Don’t mistake with cyberterrorist group from season 3. And helmet is OMACs
The wall separating the rich from the poor area seems very realistic and I'd imagine a lot of places would do it if they could get away with it
Brother Eye parallels anyone?
whats with the spider-man references this week first flash and now arrow can someone explain
personally think eric is being a little harsh but hopefully he comes around! either way, everyone’s entitled to their opinion!
Eric's dislike of all things flash forward are on a whole other level. xD
I mean, sure they aren't my favourite things about the season, but I've never really had any particular problem with them.
roy raged because of the mirakuru
Or because he died and was revived with the Lazarus pits
Captain Hindsight that’s what I said too
Eden corp was the group tht tried to nuke Central City in flash 4x15 "Enter Flashtime"
notifacation squad!!
Do y’all realize Connor fights with batons like the sticks Oliver and Diggle trained with?
Yea I actually liked the episode but I can see how some people have a hard time feeling certain things because of our lack of knowledge and character development for example I didn't even know Mia and Connor were a thing so it's hard to feel some sort of betrayal because we haven't seen anything before but I thought the action was cool.
This feels like Eric last season lol
He said to rene about the mask: Take Archer global and ELIMINATE all vigilantes FORGOOD. Then Felicity says that Oliver’s disappearance is on her and then shows her initiating Archer
I think she was just saying her going after galaxy one was personal because shes the one who created Archer which they're going to use to destroy vigilantes
She didn't say that Oliver disappearance was on her.
I just love Mia so much
Sad that Arrow is coming to an end because I love Stephen Amell so much!😭
My Personal Favorite Episode of the Season So Far! LUV U Guys!
Keep up the Good Work!!!

"Secret Tunnel" Avatar:The Last Airbender. Couldn't help it that's the first thing I thought of. 💀
8:18 dammit Eric 💀💀💀
10:11 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
10:37 whoevwr does the editing for your videos got jokes. 💯💀💀
10:54 STOP WATCHING THESE BEFORE ERIC AARON.😂😂
11:11 lol Aaron's face when Connor dropped the Spider-Man quote from Uncle Ben. 💀
12:32 as someone who trained in karate for 5yrs... I appreciate that kick so much. Beautiful.
15:14 veeerrrryyy understandable. Mia has a "I hate everything & I hate vigilantes, go f**k yourself ahole." attitude. We gotta get a little campyness (New word) in the show...just a little. 👌🎯😂
15:37 again as a karate student (haven't been in a bit but still) I appreciate that too because as we all know martial artists train barefoot. & I thought it was an interesting way to take Mia's way of fighting.
Lying in CW shows has become a wierd trend where I just kinda accept it. If it's executed well as in that it makes sense & it's believable & they don't make that mistake again i'm fine. But I think in these shows the just keep lying (at certain parts) in my opinion for no real tangible or compelling reason other than to add unnecessary drama
24:38 it's like "here's what i've been told growing up has been a bad thing to be ( a vigilante) & here's what I just witnessed & participated in that said unacceptable thing to be. She had to take a step back & analyze whatvshe was feeling & had been told from both sides of the spectrum. A reality check so to speak.
42:25 still waiting on Legends & or Nora & Barry to screw time up for the better...for real this time... Cuz I don't need to hear "Team Arrow, you have failed this city." 😑🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫
45:30 the timeline is malleable. The timeline is malleable. The timeline is malleable. Barry f**k time for the better.....PLLLEEEAASSEEE. 🤔😂💀💀
I really liked this episode!
St Simmer same
Mia is amazing
Ras_ Al_Him yup
Agreed. Granted, I've had a crush on Kat McNamara for years so she can do no wrong in my eyes anyway, but damn, Mia is badass and such a perfect mix of Oliver's stubbornness and brooding with Felicity's snark, intelligence and desperation for a better future whatever the cost.
I found it so funny how this badass music was playing while some kid is doing a handstand lmfao... they could have shot that bit better
Green arrow was in this episode. Connor Hawke is there lol. If this was a perfect world Mia would be Oliver’s sister , and Conner would be his half black son. But they changed it for the show
How many times did Eric say "you know". XD
I think that Roy may have the Mirakuru still in his system...
It was a good episode and it's clear that this was a test chapter to see the reaction and acceptance of the people regarding the rumored spin-off with this team and with Mia as the main character
Blind wave: we have a poll to see if people would want an “Arrow 2040”
Arrow: here’s a demo.
Anyway This future either becomes null and void, because of Crisis, or Crisis is what causes the future. Of course without a continuation of the show this future is just going to leave a bad taste in people’s mouth.
what is archer ?
Napoleon Solo the program that felicity created
BLIND FUCKING WAVE🔥
Next season of Arrow will be 10 episodes, if the spin-off is 13 episodes to be aired right after Arrow's last season, it could act as a direct (sort of) continuation.
you guys should watch marvels cloak and dagger. love ur channel btw
Anyone else notice that Mia’s fight scene in the dark was the set from Oliver and Felicity’s old apartment just refurnished?
