    As kids in the 70s and 80s we used to carve turnips, it took ages and we had blisters on our palms and thumbs from all the scrapping oh the fun, great content thanks.

    That's crazy and here's me thinking the halloween was an American thing. Now up in Derry and Moville Donegal where I'm from halloween is reverting to its Pagan roots and is proper spooky again.

      Isn't it funny! Pumpkins make much better lanterns. The carved turnips were scary though!
