I use Kaspersky personally and I'll say that I agree with a lot of the things discussed. The only thing that I wish the AV had was support for browsers other than mainstream, like Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. I used Opera GX and very few of the browser features are supported in it as far as I know.
Kaspersky Free, same platform as Kaspersky Plus, is also excellent, in pure malware protection it forgoes Intrusion Prevention and a dedicated Firewall, but all other modules are retained. In the last 4 months of use I've seen two pop-ups, one which was recently to notify of the dark mode update, so not even an advert!
The UI looks good and i like the dark mode, as of the tools, if they re good i might use the cleaner for example but I m not going to use the other tools I think.
I was using kaspersky in the past (2010-2015) i was never disappointed it was always working well. Since win 10 i never used a av again. If this war would not happens and i would need a av. I would choose kaspersky again as first option.

Kaspersky - their product has a new version and user interface, I find it very interesting and like it, I am using Kaspersky small office security, manage more than 15 office computers, I feel good about it their products.
I think many AVs will possibly transition from Total or Maximum Security tiers, to Free, Esstential, Plus, Premium, and (I doubt it but) Premium Plus. I use Bitdefender and the UI is fine, but hopefully they redesign it maybe if not this year, hopefully next year.

Total Security is equivalent to the new Kaspersky Premium. The basic antimalware engine is the same; the new products are just a continuation of the old ones (hence why the version number got increased as normal, rather than starting again), but they happened to change their branding (i.e. their names) at the same time.
Honestly, it's difficult for me now, I use the Kaspersky Free Antivirus and I am so happy that I don't need extra features. I am a learning IT-Technician and I think having all this extra stuff sounds neat in practice but how many of them will I actually use, I am asking myself. It's really cool and all but 46,99 € for two years and one device is pretty tough for me to decide... I need to give more thought into this.

why it's so damn hard to find the quarantine files location! also, the device on my network often make you're pc run bad as it's scans so often looking up if a new device is connecting creating latency I personally don't like the look and feel of it as much as you do, it's confusing sometime area of the app is not showing up entirely and there is no slider to go left and right or resize usually right after you install windows as you're in a lower resolution. I prefer by far the Kaspersky internet security from 2018 use it was so easy to use compared to this version! I say was because they update mine without asking me to this new version. Some great features sure but so intrusive I do like the fact that the VPN can be uninstall tho. I'm a long long long time user of Kaspersky, decades old one positive note the overall performance of windows using this version Kaspersky premium seems lighter on resources and manage application is awesome. besides the repetitive new device scan on network.

Leo, please do not recommend a VPN that has an appalling logging policy, as Kaspersky does. Anyone reading this who CARES about their actual ANONYMITY, do not use the VPN in Kaspersky. The AV is good to protect your system from destructive malware, but use a different VPN, without a doubt. Uninstall it as soon as it force installs alongside the AV itself. Such a shitty thing of these AV vendors lately not allowing us to opt out of the VPN installation.

The "Plus" is the successor of the KSC, the "Standard" is the successor of KIS and the "Basic" is the successor of KAV
