This is a dream vehicle for me. The 2016-2017 LX's still going for $75,000 in my area. Might not have the latest technology but the looks & reliability is solid.
Me too this my dream car cant afford it but its my favorite cant wait to see the body change when it comes out & this SUV will out last any brand with proper maintenance
I recently bought a 2015 for $37K in immaculate condition not a scratch on the body and very low miles. So yeah a later model could go for a lot more with low mileage and no scratches
I am in the market for a new SUV... and I think the LX will fit my needs because it's reliable (Toyota/Lexus) and also i hear that the car will last very very long. I just want one car and use it for the rest of my life lol. I'm actually waiting to see the 2022 LX offering... now with the 2022 GX being updating too... I may need to see which one is right for me! Hard decision, but excited to see options and these SUV being update!
i absolutely love these vehicles. land cruiser/lx/gx series still have this oldschool charm mixed with new tech and safety features - it´s probably nothing a person under 30 would buy, but it is appealing for guys like me that appreciate that mentioned mix between old (also known as the stuff that rarely breaks) and new

The grill honestly is what caught my eye on move over to Lexus. Love the design of these cars. Especially the IS 500, can't wait to have that beast in my garage.
Got one. Only down side I have found is the aero dynamics that cause the rear end to be instantly dirty in a rainy drive. Power and comfort are premium.😊November will be 36 months,on the 2021!
I'd buy this over any other SUV in the class. Even though it's one of the oldest platforms in the class. Proven and reliable technology is what you want, not new unproven technology. This is why a LX 570 is so appealing to me even though it's technology is older.
As they say... Old school is cool. It's a such a beautiful and very elegant looking SUV, not exactly a bush basher like it's LandCruiser twin but both equally reliable as each other. The Lexus LX is the 3rd popular large SUV in Australia and of course the Patrol and LandCruiser are the top 2. But because of the stock shortages of the LandCruiser and Patrol in Australia, the LX has become that popular and Lexus doesn't seem to have shortage of stock of the LX but I'm guessing there in runout now due to the model launching next year.
The first blade stretches the whisker back and the following blades cut it again and again before it has a chance to spring back. Even though no one ever saw this happen. I’m happy it doesn’t have the body design of the Sienna and Highlander and Rav
Joe, I traded in my 2019 Yukon Ultimate Denali for a 2021 Lexus LX570 Luxury Sport not my vehicle but the wife's. I drive a 2020 ES350FSPORT. I have to say that you're correct, some things that the Yukon has are not in the LX570. But we made the switch for reliability and comfort. Comparing the two ride in both are very different and to be honest we love our LX570 more. Although we had the eco mode in the Yukon where it drops cylinders from 8 to 4 was amazing for road trips which we did a road trip from Colorado to Florida was just phenomenal with gas (premium). Haven't taken our LX570 yet on a road trip (which I'm itching for) I'll update when we do. But overall so far, we just love it and can't wait to see it handle in the snow as well. Thanks for your review. I wish I could add a photo to show it off.
It is a bit pricey, bad mpg, no touchscreen, but overall it is a nice vehicle. Reliability and luxury.... one of my fav vehicles.. nice video Joe and Lori.
Joe when are you going to do a review of the Land Cruiser? It’s the last year in the history of the United States and it’s the greatest vehicle ever made. Please do a review soon
In Sport + mode it tightens up the suspension and steering, also gives the engine a bit of a boost, I always put it in the mode when getting on the highway. MPG on Sport + does suck though.
@@kristians2704 well it does that thing way better. this thing will last 40 years. the competition will be at junkyard after 8 years. and trust me i used to like power and features till i realized how horrible some cars are in terms of reliability
You rarely see L's on the road. I'm guessing that is because of the price tag. The Wagoneer is a similar price and gorgeous. I just think lexus' reliability and low cost of ownership is extremely hard to beat.
it's the value moreso than the pricetag... they're overpriced for what they are and how dated they are. the GX was always a much better buy- 90% of the same vehicle for 55-60% the price.
Joe haha always making us read between the lines. 🙈🙉🙊. What a beautiful SUV. Maybe for the 2022 they will have touch screens. It’s kinda mind boggling they don’t, but I appreciate the old school of it all. Pretty cool the mid seats recline. The little things in life, ah. Haha. Love that color Nori. Great review as always Joe!
The Lexus LX570 is the way to go. Best full-size luxury SUV I've owned so far. GM/GMC spend a lot of time at the service center. BMW X7 is an electrical nightmare. Lexus reliability is the peace of mind you need when spending that amount of money.
No, the grille is exactly what Lexus needs to attract new customers to the fold. Also, that Nori Green paint is stunning, it's so unique but also premium at the same time.
Torque: 550Nm Maximum towing capacity: 3181kg Weight: 2727kg Fuel consumptions: 19.7l/100km in city, 14.8l/100km on highway (don’t buy this if you’re looking for good fuel economy) Boot capacity: 461l with third row up, 908l with third row down, 2351l with third and second rows down
Great video. I actually like many aspects of this vehicle, but 99g's !?!?? No one in their right mind would drop that kind of money on this vehicle knowing that a new model is around the corner. Are they selling any of these this year?
Love lexus it would be the last 1 standing against its competitors i just hope 1 day they give that top technology. Infotainment need to be better for the price
The crossover RX and all the sedans and the new rc are all gorgeous, the only time I didn’t care for it was the 2014-16 IS 2013-18 ES, don’t like the gx at all loved every implementation of the spindle grill on the LS and the 2017-2020 is they touched up the front end and made it look so much better with the different bumper. The new IS is a gorgeous car one of my favorite small luxury sport sedans. But yes I believe in some years of some models it was a lil iffy but I love the brand owned 2 still own one and I love the classy elegant styling of the 2nd gen of the Lexus models. But it’s a new day and age the hour glass spindle design is a nice design by itself, it’s how it implemented on the car. But the LX and GX I Js don’t think it works well, but I love it on the new Nx and the RX, it definitely looks good on those.
The rear console is a bit silly. Would have been nicer for the ac controls to remain on the actual center console back and use the rear fold down for cup holders.

BMW isn't a luxury brand, it's a performance vehicle so I wouldn't compare. I love to drive BMWs but, for a long, comfortable trip, Lexus has taken a page from American car makers, comfort. If Americans do nothing else, they know how to build houses on wheels.

I’ve wanted this SUV since I was a kid. Love the old analog look and feel. But almost $100K? JEEZ that’s a lotta money.
At least it’s reliable and holds value way too well for most to consider it used
it will last "forever" and literally can go anywhere. If you decide to sell it down the road you'll still get 60% or more back
