    That crunch is everything! I’ll just live vicariously through you making them. I wish I had more patience oil frying LOL. Kindly, Theresa & Cam

      I hear ya. If you add the flour / dredge part in, it really is a pain. 😊

    Great recipe, definitely gonna try this. One thing I would like to suggest is running the soaked potato slices through a salad spinner. You still may have to do some minor patting, but the spinner definitely helps pull some of the external water away from the spuds. Thanks for posting.

      That is a great idea. I’ll have to try that. I have actually put them in front of a fan before. 🤣. Thanks for the tip. 😊

    Hello, I'm currently trying your recipe :) May I ask what is the purpose of soaking the potatoes with vinegar?

    • @FoodLust
      @FoodLust  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Micah, the vinegar helps keep the potatoes from turning brown (or oxidizing) when they are air drying. Also adds great flavor. Good luck. 😊

    What if you don’t have cayenne pepper seasoning?

    This is a 3 year old video but I can't seem to season them properly any help?

    • @FoodLust
      @FoodLust  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi thanks for watching. Season them as soon as they come out of the oil, while they are still really hot. The oil will help the seasoning to stick, toss them around and you are good to go 😉

    Can I use normal sugar?

    • @FoodLust
      @FoodLust  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be worth a trip to the store for brown sugar, but you can use white if that is all you have. Thanks for watching. 😊

    Very good but eat them all as soon as you make them. They won't keep. They get soft and floppy
