Finding a Gem in a Visual Wasteland

I spotted a potentially interesting landscape shot among the visual wasteland of Pt Henry near Geelong but it was going to rely on getting a colourful sunrise...the apps indicated that was likely so I set the alarm on ridiculous and got up early enough to be there, set up and ready to shoot, 25 mins before sunrise. I was pleased with the result. So, don't dismiss what looks to be ugly or boring. Find something visually interesting and plan/wait for the right light.
