    African Tigress love watching your channel, i as a Jamaican have been travelling to KENYA every year for the past 7 years when i first went i was so frusrated , because the culture is completely different from Jamaican culture,
    KENYA was my first African country, i missed my Jamaican food but as all Jamaicans i can cook so i just cooked my own , i have to say Jamaican food is the best, but what made me love Kenya is i realised that is how they do things so i only questioned to learn not to compare ,its how one learns quickly another culture ,😊that is a tip for you and Keea, you will find many things different in Jamaica , but A so we do it😅, glad you both love the country, i also watch the other Kenyan sister who is there and she has taken tothe country like a duck to water so i am sure more Kenyans will come to really see the REAL JAMAICA and vice versa, 1❤,stay blessed

      Please !! Don't be so condescending ! Everyone learns by asking questions . Everyone who travels has tendency to compare in some way - and of course you know that Jamaican food is the best, because you have tasted all the foods of the world and compared them to know .

    First and foremost I must say I’m happy you guys are enjoying my country, now for y’all and those who are planning to visit Jamaica, our people are super friendly and kind, they will speak to you as if they have known you for years, this how we are from we have known our selves, you’ll be on a public transportation and someone will start a conversation base on whatever the situation is. This why Jamaicans are so unique we are vibrant and love to help, so therefore if you see someone speaking to you friendly they mean no harm, not saying they aren’t bad persons out there, but the majority are generous and looking out for your well-being.

I can't get over looking at you too. Btw, Jamaicans often use the word nyam to mean eat, it's slightly rude if you say, you nyam mi food, which means you have eaten my food. The nyam may have come from someone an east African ancestor during or before the slave trade. It's interesting that choma did not come with it but its possible that either the East African was trying to communicate with a West African.

    The difference between Jamaica and some other Caribbean island is that the tourist attractions and entertainment is not seasonal it’s every day. Music is in Jamaicans blood. Also Guinep is the little green fruit you should try it. It’s called Guinepa in the Spanish Caribbean island so those who call it Ackee got it wrong. Ackee is the yellow one you cook. We first started cooking rice with gungo ( piegeon) peas thus rice and peas but when we started using Kidney beans wish is more popular it still remain rice and peas. I feel like Jamaicans are not just friendly but more generous than other places.

      Tourist attractions are not seasonal in any Caribbean island lol. It’s no different from Jamaica. Also all the islands have friendly people. Smaller islands are even more laid back and safer, and they are beautiful too.

    • @andreaclarke161
      @andreaclarke161 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ellesf1606 Most of the other islands only have beaches , and only have carnival once a year which Jamaica have as well.. In addition Jamaica has dance completion , street dancing every day band playing ( Ricks Cafe) especially in Kingston eg Hot Mondays, Ready Ready Wednesday etc.. waterfalls, jumping off cliffs, street music and street DJs etc.. everyday. Music festivals and stage shows take place regularly. .It’s just full of vibes.

    • @ellesf1606
      @ellesf1606 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@andreaclarke161 You may have more events but the other islands have their events too. Sometimes less is more. Lots of people are not interested in a street dancing competition. I know smaller islands like Grenada and St. Lucia have music festivals and Fish Friday etc too. Also, tell me which island doesn’t have good food, bands playing, street music, waterfalls and beaches. I keep hearing comments from Jamaicans as though the other islands don’t have their strengths. Speak well of your island without putting the others down. The smaller islands are charming, beautiful, idyllic and SAFER which is huge. You must not know of the charm of islands like St. Lucia, Antigua, St.Kitts, Grenada etc. These islands are loved by tourists. St. Lucia, St.Kitts, Antigua etc are huge with tourists too.

    Hi AT, the c, sometimes pronounced as k may become ky as in car = kyaar; care may be pronounced as kyeer. Cat may become kyaat or kyiat. In Jamaican, dem means them but if you say: a fi dem, means it's theirs or it belongs to them. You have to try fry fritters, it could be just seasoned flour and water, then fried in hot oil. You can have banana fritters and you can also try salt fish, known elsewhere as cod fish, fritters. They may even put hot pepper, spring onions and tomatoes in seasoned flour and fry in hot oil and of course you have both got to go try Colaz Smith TV coconut dumpling.
