I dont know if its standard to use red loctite on the screws when you build 600+ Align helis, but i thought that only blue loctite is used on the screws of the rotor head and frame because its a removable medium strength adhesive. The red one usually needs heat to be removed and can damage the anodizing of the aluminum parts..
I forgot to add that I really think Align should be adding the 800mx in the 700E and trekker or atleast have a kit bundle that offers this option. Regards, Pete.
Awesome stuff Colin, I think Align has a winner with all these extra parts added to the kit. Will the 700E DFC have these same parts added in the kit added? If so I think I will be a believer and end up buying a 700E DFC over the gaui X7. Regards, Pete
☠BLACK BARON☠ 7:35 It's not easy to unmount this stuff in scale helicopters (600-800size) to check and exchange plastic gears and ball bearings if it starts making strange noises.
Hi there I am from Recife in Brazil, South America, and I think this video was awesome, thanks for sharing it with us down here in this part of the world...
I say this with the greatest of respect...In my personal experience, it is a TERRIBLE IDEA to use ANY kind of Loctite ANYWHERE NEAR moving parts!! As long as you Loctite the main screws, the thrust bearing assembly will hold just fine and when ( notice I said "when" not "if" ) you need to remove/disassemble the main blade holders/main head for whatever reason, you can do so comfortably and without unnecessary struggles. The thrust bearing design is absolutely fine as it is, and Loctiting any part of it is simply asking for complications, in my personal experience and opinion. I make the aforementioned comment on the back of over 40+ builds of Helicopters ranging from tiny 100's all way up to super scale gas turbine giant Helicopters!
i would never use red lock tight blue will do the job red is permanent i accidentally hit th at low head speed with my 800 dfc and i had to replace the arms on the rotor grips thank god the previous owner only used blue if i ha to remove the bolts and red was used if a bolt broke i would have had to remove the broken bolt or replaced the whole head. its ok if your sponsored but im not lol and say ca glue not crazy glue lol
buyers beware align are not making good kit there selling bad one like I got and get no help from align will be sell all my align and buying a better heli in the USA..
The quality of Colins videos are as good as his flying!
Great video, love the stop-motion photography
