- Tech giant Apple's latest investment in Singapore is poised to help the country develop as a regional tech hub, according to market observers. The California-based firm is putting in S$340 million to expand its Ang Mo Kio campus. This announcement comes amid CEO Tim Cook’s tour of the region. He visited the company's latest retail store at Marina Bay Sands.

I think eventually Indonesia will become south east Asia hub for apple becos of sizes and manufacturing abilities. Singapore is too small and expensive .

Singapore want jobs for its economy. But not dead end jobs that eat the young people and spat them out when they get old. Look at all the foreign factories in China closing down and all those workers abandoned on the side of the road. What's the point of asking for those kind of investments?

Apple's product if imagine like Google Nexus Phone(assume as nice due to Chrome Browser), if somehow getting tips of way to smoothen the phone(about lag, it's like r.a.m but actually r.a.m is big), maybe have secret app. Running that uses high r.a.m then it becomes slower? Is it maybe the distance of touchscreen and the app(thickness of glass is big), causing the slow reaction: sensor-or-app talks to retry. People can't hate this brand because of just this if imagine iMac it can become most wanted immediately in the past.
Those people supporting Huawei, please continue buying from them and nobody will stop you! Huawei only has 2% market share in Singapore 😂 while Apple has 31% market share here.

31% of Singapore 6m population is about 1.9m? Doesn't seem much if compare to other countries like Malaysia and Thailand where market share ranges between 11 to 14m units of Iphone....

Lol that old AMK office has structural issues and they have no choice other than to rebuild it. It used to be an old Mac-mini assembly line on which they loaded too many staff. 340 million for rebuilding the weak structure only. Also Apple will never build more than 5 floors to cut TAX. They will hardly contribute to economy growth. Apple is the no1 stingy company and pay less salary to 95% of their staff. Only 5% in the company get paid well. Unfortunately only a few of that 5% are in the Asian region. I worked there for 4 years, in that building.
