I saw these guys in Brazil last week. They are simply awesome. I had the opportunity to hang out with them in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and they are nice, decent people. I had such great, unforgettable experience.
Agreed I just met him and the mu'tet today at Northeast Mississippi Community College...and they are by far the coolest group of musicians I have ever met
I'm in the picture at :32! He played with my high school's jazz band my senior year. We traded fours...it was one of the best moments of my life thus far. Thanks for this upload! I was at the concert in evanston when they did part of the recording!
All the greats played with others who were better musicians then they were. That's one of the keys to progress. Great tune, great tones and great playing all around. On a different note, I wish Felix would adjust his right hand technique before he gets CTS because sooner or later playing like that is going catch up with him.
Felix may have inherited his dad innate talent, but is style is definitely his own. Definitely among my favorite bassists of this era.

I actually met Jeff Coffin on Saturday when he came down to ABQ NM for the UNM Jazz Fest, and it was the best thing I've ever witnessed

It's Jeff Sipe, not Sipes. He's probably the best unknown drummer ever. He's amazing
