    • @westhobbiesrc8051

      One is a SRXL2 and the other is a DSMX satellite. The SRXL2 is the newest full telemetry RX that’s full range from spektrum. So you get telemetry capabilities to your transmitter as well as very fast RX which rate and extremely long range and the DSMX satellite is there for back up and a second RX if need be. You bind as SRXL2 in the iKon software.

    Do you run 2 satelites with the SRLX2? seen you have run the srlx2 up on servo as well. Im using a tx16s radio which has been very intense. Last heli I owned goblin 700 and align 700 was about 8-9 years ago. was running FASST futaba and this is all new to me. thanks your videos are awesome great help

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do both, two satellites and SRXL2 OR just one satellite and SRXL2. You don’t need two satellites but it can’t hurt. Redundancy, more receiver satellites the better. I don’t like having any signal problems. The TX16S can be very difficult to learn, I hardly ever use mine anymore. I use to have a futaba FASST as well! You’re welcome! I, glad the videos are helpful!

    Ive got a question. Can you use srxl2 and dsmx satellites together? Like srxl2 in the servo port and dsmx in a sat port for redundancy? Or does it have to be one or the other? My fbl setup requires me to choose one or the other in the software.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that is how you wire it. SRXL2 into the servo port DSMX satellite into the side port. Depending on the FBL you are using or you were just select SRXL2 and binded together. Some FBL units don’t support the actual telemetry of the SRXL but it will still bind and work together.

    What’s the difference between the thicker icon 2 versus the thinner icon 2 that you use on the 580 raw?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The iKon 2 HD has a designated power rail for your servos. It’s better for running high power servos as it splits the power to it’s on designated rail. Also it has a switch to be turned off and on mainly for Nitro models. The regular iKon 2 works great for every electric heli and this one got a iKon 2 HD because that’s all that was in stock.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051

      Yes it’s removable and clean looking and runs nicely into the connectors and holds them all together and stops anything from pulling out.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051

      It really all depends on what you kind of flying style and heli you want. I would say 8s or 12s just because 6s pulls a lot of amps under hard flying.
