Oh shit, so my memory was right; it is Marc Silvestri. If you look up Wolverine #48, that's straight where your setup's from (with red eyes). And on the cover of #49 in the brown suit...well, a lot of covers from that time. So yeah, all we need is the pupilless eyes, no 5 o'clock shadow or red stripes, and some blue highlights.
2:58 - That totally reminds me of Marc Silvestri's Wolverine. I think that's who it is. All we'd need to do is paint the eyes white; well, and just overlook the warpaint.
Excellent review of this guy! I still hate this version of the character, with his "soup can hand", lol, but I definitely enjoyed the review and awesome photos at the end, as always! Great work, for sure, my friend! That said, I had been thinking this head, minus the red paint, would be great on the original Weapon-X figure, possibly even on the classic Orange & brown costume from the Silvestri era (I still need an awesome Silvestri Rogue, as well, come on already Hasbro...!!). I'm glad you showed off that Weapon-X swap though! Looks good, and if I see a discount on this guy cheap enough, I'll buy it for the head, remove the red paint, and toss the body in my parts bin... Yeah, I still just hate the AoA design THAT MUCH, lol. I'm glad other people like & enjoy it, but I just don't. I guess it's the designer in me, along with AoA being a throw away story for the most part... It just did NOT click with me... Again, great job on this review, and all the AoA figures thus far! I still enjoyed it (them) even though I'm not an AoA fan.

Okay lol, one more comment. When I was looking up the covers, I came across a variant cover to issue #56 (from '94), where Wolverine's looking like The Terminator 😳. It's got Marvel Italia (Italy) at the bottom. For one, I had _no clue_ there was variant covers for other countries; and I've certainly never seen a short-haired, no facial hair havin' Wolverine until Old Man Logan.
I’m half tempted to buy another AOA weapon x just so I can paint over the red pieces on his head to match the flesh color and then he will be a perfect unmasked Wolverine head.

I totally see and remember now that the red marks on their head aren't paint or tattoos. So my bad on that screw up. I should've remembered, considering I had the variant Toy Biz figure. I just can't remember much from the storyline. I just loved getting them for the awesome re-designs.
Sculpted hair was always a weird choice. Looks like scars more then hair. You need to pick up a 2nd one and try some nail polish remover on the red above his eyes. I think it would come off
Tried the AoA head to weapon x. skin tone is a tad lighter but its great.. If I buy another AoA weapon X, any suggestion which head should I put on it since I am going to use it's head for my 616 weapon x.
There really isn’t a variant of Wolverine I don’t want. I was just waiting for Jean to pop in and save Logan. Nice tease at the end. The set up of the hunters is very nice. I wish Dark Beast had the swooping hair for the more upward head movement. I’m looking forward to the Scott figure too. I want Alex too so they can sibling squabble. I know there will be a second wave with a Holocaust BAF. I hope they pair characters well. Scott should come in a wave with Alex. Rogue with Magneto. Sabertooth has to be in a Holocaust BAF wave so they can go at it. I’m very curious to see you do action shots with Sugar Man. He seems a bit limited.
No where can I find what's up with the red stripes on their face. With you referring to them as slashes, it got me wondering if they're not warpaint/tattoos. And after all these years, it got me wondering what's up with Logan's hand not regenerating. I mean does Cyclops's optic blast counter react their healing factor?
No, but it blew his hand off & cauterized the wound... At least that's how they played it for the soup can hand gimmick to work in the story. Otherwise, I guess he could technically regenerate the bones in his hand and everything, but minus the Adamantium coating. 🤔
Because this shit Ain't for kids bruh click click click what a wonderful surprise this Wolverine weapon who handy capped got his hand blow off by fucking cyclops so in exchange let's just say their a reason why they call him cyclops hey then again logan violated him in others stories by banging most x chicks that was feeling Summers cough Jean grey , Storm , her felt her electricity emma frost didn't freeze up on the opportunity to get his animal rage going this figure just appeared today at my local Target just waiting for movie wave to drop it'll be all good , good looking out on the video fam
