Scorpions actually evoke a huge amount of nostalgia in me. My dad used to listen to them when I was like 4. I grew up listening to 80's, 90's and early 2000's with him and despite I hated some of that music then, I have a completely different perspective on it it nowadays. I guess it's the emotional connection to a certain era of my life. Thank you for entertaining video.
"Big City Nights" is just an all around fun song with still amazing vocals and the video shows how much fun they were having , one of the songs that got me hooked
The cleanest live sounding band I've ever heard. These guys are perfection to see live! "Wind of changes" and "Rock you like a hurricane" are must hear songs. Keep it up, Alex! 🤘✌
You’ve covered the best of Scorpions ballads. You have yet to delve into their hard rock side: The Zoo, No One Like You, I Can’t Explain, Big City Nights, and their best rocker/banger…Rock You Like a Hurricane!
A beautiful song and quite challenging to sing. One of my favorite ballads from Scorpions. Along with Always Somewhere, Still Loving You, Holiday, Sails of Charon. So many great songs from an iconic and long running band!
Hey man, just wanna leave compliment real quick: I usually don't like reaction TH-camrs. I normally find it to be a lazy way to generate content. But you create a pretty unique way, in which you balance visibly enjoying a piece and adding enough own legitimate contributions, all while respecting the art (of my man Klaus for example). Really am enjoying your stuff. Keep doing what you do. Love from Germany.
It's honestly why I love his channel so much. Fun, respectful, appreciative and not too gimmicky. His reax always have a distinctive flavour and yet they're always fresh. By far the best reaction channel.
This song has meant so much to me for so long. Having overcome addiction, abuse, loss, you name it… I’ve been through a lot of hell in my life. But I’ve never let it define me. I’m a survivor. And this song perfectly captures my feelings about that. Not to mention, it’s sonic perfection… the way the vocal harmonies perfectly blend with the guitar harmonies… it’s just incredible. You just don’t hear this kind of talent in modern music.
I wish you could see the Official Video for this song....it's artistic and emotional. This was in the 80s and Klaus' voice was at it's best and the bandmates were the best lineup for what they did on stage and in performing. The best way to get a feel of this amazing band is to watch their LIVE shows. US Festival, Moscow Peace Festival, Rockpop 1983.... They were considered by many bands back then to be the band nobody ever wanted to follow. They were incredible and this year they're dropping their 19th studio album and going back on tour next year after this pandemic thing sidelined them. They may be an older band but they have toured since the 70s and they show no sign of slowing down. Well, except it is getting a bit harder for Klaus to sing the hard stuff. God bless them!! As for Matthias the guitar player and Klaus the singer, they play off of each other a lot. But in this vid, Rudolf makes a rare appearance as the lead. Except for that little riff towards the end that you liked, that was Matthias Jabs. Thanks for Reacting to them. So much in their catalog!!!
In 04 I was in Baghdad and the USO radio "army radio" would play this song every single night around midnight right before switching to a middle eastern radio frequency. The land of the morning star is hell. Love your content brother
I'm not going to say that you are wrong. But there is a Version of this song The Scorpoin recorded together with the Berliner Philharmoniker, a German symphony orchestra.
You've got me in tears bro, this is the first time I've listened to the song since it was played as my brothers and I carried my fathers coffin into the church. You said it best... "this is transcendent".
Was my fathers favorite band and I listen to them for more then 25 years now. Every time I do is like I do it for the 1st time so good are their songs! Like you said Epic and for always.
I love how passionate you are about music in general and you make it feel like I’m listening to a song for the first time again even when I’ve heard them a million times. You are just brilliant!!!!
One of their best songs, just straight out beautiful... "Still loving you" is also great, "Rock you like a a hurricane", too... However, what confused me about "Send me an angel" is the fact that there is one angel that is often called "Morning Star" as it is said in the song "... in the land of the morning star"... And traditionally, that one is not a likable or beloved angel...
I saw "The Scorpions" first time 1984 live! They are one of the best Livebands! Klaus vocals are live so amazing! They have so many great songs over the years!
