The Scorps are in my top 5 rock bands of all time. I’ve been blessed enough to see them live 5 times. The fact that they’re in their late seventies and still releasing new music and touring is remarkable. Long live the Scorpions! 🤘 🦂 🤘
I love Scorpions!! They are phenomenal!! Klaus Meine is one of the best male vocalists of all time! I loved them when I first heard them back in the early 90's and I still love their tunes!
It's always been mind-blowing to me not necessarily how beautifully he can sing, but, but singing that beautifully in English when your first language is German and you speak with a thick German accent... I know Klaus isn't the only example... But damn!
I believe Klaus Meine (vocals) of Scorpions was 42 in 1990 (He's 76 now) when this song (from the album 'Crazy world') was recorded and released - the same record as 'Wind of change'... Oddly, the album 'Crazy world' only has 2 ballads and the whole album has banger tunes like - 'Tease me, please me'... 'Restless nights' ... 'Crazy world'... "Don't believe her"... etc. The Scorpions album w/ mostly ballads was their 1996 album 'Pure instinct'... Songs like - 'You & I' ... 'When you came into my life' ... 'Does anyone know'... etc. It wasn't a successful record as the 90's 'alternative rock' scene had killed the careers of most 80's bands (Scorpions were from the 70's but got huge in the 80's) Scorpions were desperate to appeal to the 90's audiences and released a rather pop album 'Eye II Eye' in 1999 and it did decently... but had a lot of electronics and beats... It was definitely NOT a rock album w/ songs like - 'Mysterious' ... 'To be number 1'... 'Eye to eye'... etc. Thankfully, the Scorpions came to their senses and went back to hard rock on subsequent albums like 'Unbreakable' (2004)... 'Humanity Hour 1' (2007) ... 'Sting of the tail' (2010)... and still recorded ballads for their female audiences.
I had that same first through like Smokey, but first notes remind me about this song. It's a beautiful one, and it moved me to my childhood moments. Thank you for making my day better.
The Scorpions, at the begining was a raw, raucious, hard ass Rock Band, as with so many Band`s they became what the Industry dictated! "Animal Magnetism"(the Song not the Album) & "The Zoo" was early Scorpions and they are Super Hard Rock!
I love theScorpions! His voice is so unique and so amazing. I can’t believe that he can sing so well in English when it’s not his first language. His range is amazing and the tone of his voice so beautiful to the ears. But I have to say my favorite song by them is Big City Nights!❤ I’ve seen them live, and I can promise you he can hold his notes for a very long time!
They're still hoping to get new subs it seems. I don't blame em. But I never see any songs I like anymore lol Edit. Holy shit I was wrong. This it their fourth Scorpions reaction. Maybe they just like them. Or maybe they get alot of engagement from it. I'm here for the Meshuggah etc. lol
"No One Like You" "Blackout" and "Dynamite" are some of their faster songs. The wigs would come in handy😂🤘💕The pop song is from the band Real Life in 83 and they are from Australia😊
I was so glad to grow up mid 70s 80s and high school 90s we had the best music videos and concerts to go to. This was Ballard by scorpions but was great song to play with my ex girlfriend ex fiancé when I was dating someone. The ladies always loved this song. I loved it also I loved and listen to all music always have.
Scorpions are such a great band with a whole library full of bangers. Solid with lyrics, instrumentation & Klaus' voice is among the best in rock. This song is no exception. Their "World Wide Live" album is one of my favorites. (Say, how about listening to "The Zoo", "No One Like You" or "Loving You Sunday Morning"...all 🔥🔥🔥). 🤘😎
Morning guys. I haven't heard this song in years. Lol. I like the scorpions. I wondered about the same thing about the land of the morning star...what smokey said...I never really listened or examined the lyrics until today lol
It definitely was a plea. He's pretty much saying "I'm in Hell right now, please send me some relief." They love making their music, (as shown since they're still making music despite being "retired") but the excesses of the rockstar lifestyle of the time and the peer pressure to conform was probably literal hell. Record companies probably were just as sleezy too. He was just looking for good people to surround and support him and the band.
Scorpions have always had a ballad or two on each of their albums. They were doing them way before the hair metal trend. Let suggest a few rockers for you guys. The Zoo, I Can't Get Enough, Lovedrive, Another Piece of Meat, He's A Woman She's A Man. For something heavy and sludgey try Animal Magnetism or China White. Finally for a reggae sound check out Is There Anybody There.
Listen to earlier songs from Scorpions and you find out that they were a pretty bad ass band with much more complex and fast paste compositions. The ones you listened so far where from a time where they almost about to quit and did kind of pop stuff.
Hello Hollywood & SmokeyR, here's another new band to give a listen, if interested. "Ambrosia - Holding On To Yesterday - Lyrics (HD)" (by the channel: Shaun Dwyer) --Ambrosia is an American soft rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1970. This is one of the great harmony bands from this era. Get ready to listen to (👂🍬🎧ear candy)
Cara , isso foi muito Nostálgico . Ótimo vídeo. Vocês poderiam reagir a "yousei teikoku - kuusou mesorogiwi" ? E manda um "OI" para a galera aqui do Brasil. Obrigado !!!
Scorpions are a band with alot of great ballads but here's some rockers for you, Blackout, Big City Nights, No One Like You, The Zoo, Tease Me Please Me, Don't Believe Her, Hit Between The Eyes, Alien Nation, Bad Boys Running Wild, Rhytm Of Love, Passion Rules The Game.
I love how consistently small-world you guys continually stay. The Scorps have been making records since 1968. Almost older than your parents. You've listened to, like, 1/50th of their catalog. Put in some real time, then decide.
how come you keep playing the scorpions ballads, play stuff before 83,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Blackout, Now, Drifting Sun, ,,,, Scorpions are Badass wish you'd check out the older song Hard Rock n Metal OG!!!!!!!!

One of my top 5 bands of all time. They are phenomenal.
Klaus Meine has such a unique voice, there is nobody who sounds like him. 10/10 vocalist!

Now do "Always Somewhere" by The Scorpions.
It definitely was a plea. He's pretty much saying "I'm in Hell right now, please send me some relief." ❤ Good song to start the morning off with❤ thanks.
