I've always wanted one of those. Planned on buying the kit to build it myself for $600+ back in the mid 1980's. I had a client in Pasadena Ca. who flew B-17s in WWII and he told me that the 1946 Mustang engines were surplus motors used for the retractable landing gear on the bombers. That really impressed me. I remember that they had a top speed of 75mph, making them highway legal, but no front brake and coming to learn that I wasn't ever going to be a very good rider, I... chickened out.
@JGMagoo Mine too just a couple years later, but I ended up with a Powell P47 instead. Less HP and centrifugal clutch rather than gears. A friend put a 650 Triumph engine in a Mustang, and a friend of his did the same with a 500 Triumph engine.

It sounds AMAZING.
The engine was whispering to you. Every kick it was saying softly, "choke me--choke me" Listen again.....Mikunis like choke.
Now go have a coronary...Is this the Reluctant Pony?
I wonder if those Triumph engines idled as well as the Busy Bee in the video did?
cute little bike.
I wonder why he took off in second gear. I guess he didn't want to smoke the back tire!
