There is a company that upgrades the centre console and infotainment system. It's not cheap and does have downsides with loss of some the existing functions. Still, it's an option - not one I've plumpt for, as I prefer to keep everything stock. Yes, it will put some people off buying it in the future. Hey ho. Great video, Matt. Thanks for sharing.

Many times, fuel consumption is stated as the critical factor when buying a car .So you buy a boring eurobox which does 0-60 in 10 seconds, does 35 mpg(hurrah) but depreciates by 30 percent in the first year. You would really be 'better off' by buying an older prestige car and let the previous owners absorb the depreciation.Just make sure you budget for expensive tires and servicing (my last main service and full check on my 6 year old XJL was £145 at an independent and tires are around £180 each).Just to put the icing on the cake its 3 litre v6 turbo diesel does around 36 mpg.Point made!!

had one and it's everything mentioned and more. I used mine when I worked in Europe buying and selling horses. 25mpg on their good well maintained roads. I didn't' meet anyone that didn't like it. Other than french traffic police (their fines don't count right😬). Plus people knew you weren't there to waste their time when out buying. Down side, parts cost. Example rear lights, they only last 10 years. They are modular, no bulbs other than indicator and cost 2.5 K +vat each. You can get 2nd hand, but the modules will go at some point. Electrics are also suspect now as they are getting on a bit. Battery drain is a problem if not used every day. You can buy a replacement updated infotainment around about 3 K fitted, but it looks cheap and tacky all flashy lights and cheap looking plastic. I am definitely going to get another supersports. Unfortunately not yet as I am saving for a better house in the country right now and they are 'quite' expensive to buy outright.🙄

Absolutely awesome machine and great review. One of the things I love is the subtle upgrades to an already beautiful car. That said there's a white one near where I live that has Supersport transfers added along the bottom of the doors. Looks like they came from Halfords. It looks awful.
    Great vid as always.

It's likely a good idea to consider the cost of ownership over the cost of acquisition, as that will help you decide if can REALLY afford it.

The Continental GT is just a staggering piece of mechanical engineering. Somewhat like the bubble bee, it is something that is able to do that which it should not be capable of.

Always liked these, the only negative for me, and it's a big one, is the uninspiring sound from that 6.0 W12, an engine that size should sound good.

Great episode and beautiful car,Porsche offers updated infotainment systems for there older cars that obviously don’t look like an add on.
This will definitely be the future for these types of cars, but beware not a cheap option.

From a Sytner auction. Yes. Glad of this review Matt as they fall sensible money on bids. Yet they look the bomb. Know nowt about them. Know the engine in A8 and Phaeton so it’s always going to be tasty

Alcantara is a lot less slippery than leather. Probably why Ford also used it on Mondeo seats, don't want you sliding around too much in the corners.

Splendid as a always :) Its a good question you raise here. I am sure future car genartions will be build and engineered even more around their Operating- and Infotainement system rather than the drivetrain as electric cars just have as much power and torque you want and can pay. An electrical engine is just a dull, powerful and mighty reliable thing. So, the obsolescence issue could be rather dramatic
