Since Ferguson left just look at the difference between players leaving compared to players coming in and you can see the money has not been spent to get the players needed to replace the ones they sell or let go. As a Liverpool fan I don't want Utd to change managers any time soon because it's funny seeing them struggle. But Utd do need and can do better with getting a similar manager on Klopp and Pep's level. Yes when OGS first came in he steadied the ship and stopped Utd from being a far bigger joke then they are now (like what Dalglish did with Liverpool) but OGS I feel is not the long term solution they require.

What is there to compare? Ole is doing the right thing in getting out the mega stars on £400k a week and replacing them with young players and academy products.
