  • Today we test the battery on my 2018 Toyota Tundra, it failed. So, we'll also replace it with a new one.

    I love your videos and the attention to detail you provide, they are so informational. I follow you because I have a 2019 tundra and I look forward in doing the maintenance myself. mine only has around 42k miles on it so I'm saving all your videos for when I need it. I really appreciate the work you do on your truck, thank you! keep posting the videos!

    High school racing gray 😂. I’ll have to use that one to describe our 2021! That’s a lot more fun than “cement.” Keep it comin’ on these awesome Tundra how-to videos they have been really helping my garage time!

    that's a great tip: 'Negative usually closest to the side of the vehicle'.
    Totally agree with not putting grease between the connections but adding it afterward on the outside. I like the Noco grease stuff.
    Thanks for all your Tundra videos, looking forward to the 100k video. You give me the courage to do stuff myself.

    I love that the newer scan tools show battery voltage. I wish the snap on scanner did that.

    As a Tundra owner (on my 3rd Tundra since 2000 model year), I recommend using Terminal Protection Spray on your terminals… has worked very well for me to prevent corrosion.

      Toyotas do get pretty cruddy. Good tip, thanks.

    Not trying to be "that guy" in the comments, but a test of the new battery to compare with old battery would be nice, plus it would give you a Baseline for future reference. I do annual battery tests with my old Midtronics tester to monitor degradation over time.

    • @ToolDemos

      That’s a good idea, I think I’ll do that.

    Saying something is "sus" means its suspicious and theres something weird going on there. I love hearing you say it, you say it like a cute dad trying to be hip xD

    Theres this stuff called "fluid film" its a spray on metal protector that helps keep metal from rusting/corroding. I use it on just about everything when working on my car. Cover the terminals with that and youll never deal with corroded battery terminals again!

    • @FluffyMI6
      @FluffyMI6 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you live somehwere that isnt in the rust belt (like me) im sure the fluid film would last just about forever

    • @ToolDemos
      @ToolDemos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Sorry if I missed it, but what size battery did you put in there?

    • @ToolDemos
      @ToolDemos  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I put a 24F in it, but it calls for a bigger 27F. My store didn’t have the bigger one.

    If you pour water over the terminal when it’s running will dissolve almost all of the corrosion

    Has anyone else noticed oreilly’s quality has gone down in recent years ? My super-start battery is also from 2020 and it recently gave out

    • @ToolDemos
      @ToolDemos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think most parts are lower quality than ever. It’s not a good trend.

    Mr Tool demos TH-camr
    I saw your video which was posted 2 years ago with relay pins starting with digits
    As you said when you was kid the most of your question started with "WHY” that was a pretty interesting
    Ok let’s have a common discussion
    Have you ever thought the following question with WHY ?
    Why I’m here in this world ?
    Who sends me to this world
    From where I came to this world
    Where was I’m before I came to this world
    If someone really sends me to this world
    Then what my sender’s expectations from me until my death in this world
    And the last question
    Why should I dies
    Why can’t I stay alive without having a death
    What is the purpose of my existence in this world
    Have you ever thought those questions?
    I’m waiting for your reply

    • @ToolDemos
      @ToolDemos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course, that’s one of the most important ‘whys’ there is.
