Thanks for this, very cool that Roland finally gives a large selection of preset to get started. Not every body is an expert programmer, or has the time to start from scratch. Here you can take a pattern and modify it to your liking, or learn how it's been done. The Mc707 does not come with enough factory patterns in my opinion, and you have to work a lot to start from scratch and find ideas. Ok, some will say that creativity is not starting with factory patterns.. I will say not everyone has the same approach. I'm a long playing guitarist, and my main creativity and work goes to my guitar skill improvment. Electronic music for me is to have fun and find ideas for tracks and compositions. So great to see Roland gives us a large array of factory patterns, which are really nice, and listening to them on this video already inspires me to tweak them more to my style, since I will definitely purchase it. Sounds great So this is an inspirational tool, and that's the most important thing to me.
Prince always used stock sounds. He wasn't a technical nerd, more just an artist. "It's not what you use, it's how you use it" I like that approach. But he did many original things with the sounds, like running it through guitar pedals
Is it pretty easy to load sounds on? I’m wanting to add some other vintage drum machines from Arturia Spark and trying to find out if this would be a good machine for that

I mean I literally know nobody who listens to music like this from the Carribean to the America's, this commercial music or some sci fi film type of presents. But I'm sure those guys are huge in popularity, I'm just not sure they made these presents with 90% of producer's in mind, kind of like a experimental vibe. Compare these presents to the actual commercial, that is structured music, music that gets radio play, this shit is all over the place. Just my two cents..
Started with volca sample to practice then graduated to this. I love it but want a few more options/toms mainly. I think drum machines are meant to be collected. Perfect demo!
Hey nice vid! Just got a TR-6s few days ago, which brand of USB B cable do you recommend buying for this machine? Most of the 2.0 USB Type-B cables sold on internet are usually called "printer cable" and idk if this cable can work both as power supply and for data transfer
I’ve had both ( tr6 is a pain in the b hole ) tr6s leaves it miles behind when it comes to eases and sounds .. but the tr6 is brilliant with the boutique 303 .. and possibly my last one .. if got to many know what I mean
Lol no. They’ve made some decent recreations but the quality is iffy, the keybeds are absolutely atrocious, their business practices are questionable at best, and they’ve yet to make anything nearly as interesting as this, the grandmother, Minilogue XD, Nyx, DFAM, Microfreak, etc etc.
Disgusting demo but like always companies and their crap mainstream EDM fanbase rule the market nowadays... that said great idea as I don't need a box the size of a TR8S haha ordering one
The machine seems great...but the sounds being played are muzak...really this stuff is the equivalent of elevator music. Awful, but then , people live in a plastic bubble and swallow the dross. So sad.

This is a great sounding and affordable drum machine. The playability I experienced was fun and intuitive.

Even though I already have a TR-8S, and was considering doubling up, this seems like a great, way less monetarily steep option. I love it!

Some beats are good, but I hate the filter!
The filter is just an effect, not a real modeled filter as far as I know, so it probably won’t sound as good as an actual filter.
