We really need an entire Sonic Videogame that takes place during big water in the human cities and where The Sonic Characters are on a boat in the middle of the ocean and having to fight a different main antagonist and deadly sea animals like Saltwater Crocodiles Great White Sharks Orcas Dark Sea locations and have drowning death Animations and swimming underwater too.

I LOVED Aqua Lake in Sonic 2. The music for it always stood out to me the most along with Scrambled Egg Zone.

You missed Sonic Advance 2 because Leaf Forest Act 1 has a few underwater segments.
Because Leaf Forest isn't a water-themed stage. Just like Angel Island Act 2 has some water sections, that doesn't mean this is a water stage.
