It’s overused after Generations because it had an impactful destruction. Eggman has destroyed an ancient landmark while Sonic and Tails run up its crumbles. But I guess it was fine the whole time and Eggman’s egg robos only blew up the parts Sonic and Tails ran on, which lessens the climatic feel of the stage
@@Boykeeplays Well sorta, we still see the Death Egg but it’s not even breaking Sky Sanctuary. So maybe the good future of Gens made Sky Sanctuary secure or something.
For personal matters the Sky Sanctuary Zone is iconic and awesome it's like being high in the sky and one of the best sky levels in video games and franchises. The Sky Sanctuary Zone has been in 13 games and the zone really nailed it next to Green Hill and Chemical Plant Zone.
Fun Fact: The minibosses you fight in Sky Sanctuary are rematches of 2 iconic bosses from the previous games The 1st is the Green Hill Zone boss from Sonic 1 The 2nd is the Metropolis Zone boss from Sonic 2
As someone who grew up with the Sega Megadrive version the 1st version's my favourite but I enjoy the Generation's version for its graphics. The rest overdo it for me
@@ger_weet This DLC includes Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Sky Sanctuary and Labyrinth Zone. They may add a new update based on the Sonic Movie 3 with new zones.

yea sky sancturay is the last zone until we get to the death egg plant just like in sonic 2 and defeat him im sure its the 2nd or 3rd last level
