5 Weirdest refereeing decisions this season (2023-24)
Let’s start with that decision from Simon Hooper in the game between Spurs and Man City. In the dying minutes of that game, Haaland got fouled at the center of the pitch but he got up to his feet super quickly, so Hooper gestured for the Man City advantage.
You guys remember the Spurs vs Liverpool game, don’t you?
Luis Diaz scored a very clear goal, but somehow it was disallowed for offside, when in fact, there was no offside in the buildup.
In the Champions League game between Newcastle and PSG, the Magpies looked like they were going to walk away with all 3 points after having led for much of the game thanks to a first half Isak strike. But PSG got awarded a penalty in the 97th minute, and that gave Mbappe the chance to steal a point for the French giants.

They don't want anyone ruining the script😂
What script ?? Cause every team has got var against them. Not like spurs will win the league tho😂
Quansah's goal getting ruled out in the europa league against toulouse for an unfair handball cause, the ball hit mac allister's biceps but the goal got ruled out
Simon Hooper is surely a Spurs fan
Find it in google he is
@@nahomabera48 😂
@@nahomabera48no he isn’t it says swindon
The referee's call in the City game was frustrating 😒
That was so stupid
Indeed
For us Gunners we're used to this. Last season VAR officials FORGOT to draw the lines...🙄
As a united fan i do think that Onana's foul should have been a penalty
Remember in el classico Rudiger hug araujoo and make he fall in area, but the referee don't give a penalty
Last game Brighton v Chelsea. No corner and bad penalty
Chelsea vs man city. That pen for city was ridiculous and kyle walker had an obvious handball and no free kick was given. The ref has a history for giving chelsea bad calls
The PL is getting out of hand...
Another one wars the tackle that should have been penalty from Araujo on Camavinga
yeh alot off them in united games that was so unfair for manchesterunited
What you say about alnassr vs al hilal match officials?
The best uploaded!
My guy 😂😂
Just like players, the ref f's up too. Some players gets 200k a week and miss the goal from 5 yards away or score own goals. No one is perfect!
Var and referees is just making football worse😢
Simon Hooper is a kill joy
im suprised that i saw wolves only once in this video
Bro Referees and var are title contenders right about now
Romeos red card against Chelsea is a bad ref desicion
Nice video im a city fan and its really annoying
Arsenal v Newcastle one had to be seen by 7 angles💀💀💀💀💀
Exactly. If it was 'clear and obvious' as is required for VAR to overturn it they wouldn't have needed so many angles. Great job making the case for it being the right decision.
The penalty that akanji should have been given in the spurs vs city game
Agreed
Simon Hooper should NOT be a referee
Simone pooper also refereed that liverpool vs spuds match
With a nod to Cicero, I have to wonder: Who referees the Referees? These examples clearly show a slackening standard, with wrong decisions that result in spoiling the beautiful game. With instant replay, there ought to be no poor decisions. Do we need a panel of referees off-field in charge of video-assisted decisions? Are on-field referees too self-centred to admit they might be wrong?
There need to be more clesr rules. At the moment the rules seem entirely too arbitrary. Its terribly annoying.
The rashford tackle is a red; melicious intent isn't even part of that rule. And second it doesn't matter because the tackle is a career ender and can't be allowed period.
How he turned and accidentally stepped on his leg look it was a foul but a red it wasn't even a yellow
The referee from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid match on Sunday
imagine shooting a man and he stand there........UNFAZED!!!!!
TRY BEING A WOLVES FAN ... HOW MANY APOLOGIES ARE WE UP TO NOW 4 ... THATS 7 POINTS TOOK OFF US KNOWING THEY MADE ""ERRORS""
Simon Hooper was surely on weed that day
Just bring back the good ol traditional rules back.. Cause even with this so called high tech VAR, they still cant do nothin but wasting the time..
Hello can you please make a video on the current Gerona fc manager I would appreciate it Thanks
Simon Hoooer must be demoted to championship
Nah should be demoted to Sunday league
Denying wolves penalty in the match against Man Utd was also a terrible and shocking decision.
The first ref looks so innocent
We should relegate the current PL referees to League One and bring those referees to the Prem
Forgot Jota and Jones red card
This is what's making football more hated
Man city vs Tottenham Haaland be
like when he was fouled bro got his McDonald’s order wrong
Simon hooper should be called Simon blooper
That decision was dumb
No no no no that with rashford is a clean red card he see the another player coming and instead of taking the ball on the control to perform at dribbling or pass it to another teammate he instead wait to FC Copenhagen player come close and then stretch his food out to stamp on the FC Copenhagen leg
i was here 10nth
have typing disability
Idk how that lewandowski one wasnt a penalty 🤣🤣🤣it wasnt even checked by var
He just gave him a friendly hug and let him get some sleep he’s so nice
Never mess with the GUNNERS!!!!😎😎😎
panathinaikos-maccabi haifa
i think you should change title to
"RIGGRED MOMENT OF THE YEAR"
U could make whole video about united
United getting the benefit over the years? Yes…
mac allister red card i think it was his debut
also that vvd red card
The sad thing is LFC deserve prob 3 or 4 more titles in the last decade because of these failures. This season included. Too many once in a lifetime errors to even imagine anything but impropriety at this point in just this season alone.
Hoping once the ManCity points deduction and relegation sets in, we get those retroactive anyway. Klopp deserved more. We don’t even have to get into the CL issues that were unbelievable errant injustices any causal observer should be able to call.
And it sort of proves that Pep is ready to run at first sign of trouble. He’s not there for the club, but himself. He coached during the time where they are pretty cleanly have been shown to be cheating. Forest and Everton got points deduction for way less as no deceit in attempting to hide information was shown. Nothing but relegation and being stripped of previous titles (over that time span which is almost a decade) wouldn’t be sufficient.
I'm first great vid
Italy vs Ukraine last minutes
As long as tottenham is involved
Destiny tripping himself and jota gets red 🤷♂️
3:37 that was a red all day long! The rules says if a player tries to harm another player a red card should be given.. the refs got that right
Ok Copenhagen fan he didn't try to harm the other player he accidentally stepped on his foot yeah it was a foul but a red or yellow no
@@Fc_Mobile246 in the Tottenham game a few weeks before, it also happened and if it was a red in that game it should also be in this game.
@@AlexanderMlund What Tottenham game
The should bring refs from rugby
Wtf just happened
I feel bad for the ref at citys game. He called a unfair foul and made city loose 2 points and tie with liverpool. But it was accidental. He blew the whistle with his back against tha attack because it looked like a serious injury. Now the refs probably gonna recieve death treats
Like to pay respects for him
👇
agreed
He made too many mistakes even as a spurs fan
Rashford's case is a 70% all day red card
Simon hooper,,
Goal 90 can I get a pin I always watch your videos
Weird😊
Weird
What the frick Simon spurs fan thingy😢😢😢. This guy should absolutely literally 100% should get fired legit 🙏
Legit bruv
REFEREES OUT
Ok we get it you liked your own comment…
Am I the only one that keeps getting 2ads in every single video?😅
Your not the only one
We asked youtube for less ads not more
I bet this comment will not get pin
Yes it wont
SAD CASE WANTING ATTENTION .
Doesnt deserve a pin 😂
I bet it wont too
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Fifa refaree regards
Barca got robbed many times more then these teams have been so that is not even compaireble at all Barca was Girona at home in Camp Nou the hall ball was crossing the goal line scored by Araujo that goal should have stood and refferee decided no it should have not and against Real Madrid they got an controversial penalty they never should have goten because Vazuez run towards Cubarsi and he dived Vazquez before he run towards Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal goal should have stood the hall ball did cross the goal line and refferee never checked VAR image that was there aprently so said there is no evidence when many piqtures shows the hall ball crossed the line and Lunin was inside of the goal line with the ball and like it that wasn't corupted enough Barca should have got 2 penalties bu never got them when Gudogan was fouled inside of penalty box and Fermin Lopez was blocked by Rudiger on purpose and stood like an wall and should have also given an penalty he never went to the ball only fouling player was his intention only refferees in La Liga are big joke.
First
Free palestine
no Rashford Red car was a correct call
I bet this comment ... Bla bla bla I want to be famous
Simon hooper was also the ref in the City vs Spurs game
Yes that’s what he said
Akanji foul on Amdouni
No one is talking about how the rayo defender thought he was roman reigns and WWE wrestled lewangoalski down to the ground.
How is that Not a penalty ??? It's a WWE move.
Referees are not gods. They make mistakes, and they should be held accountable. They can not just walk off with their ridiculous decisions scott-free!
Simon hopper is lucky he isn't in Africa or South America, given a stupid decisions like that. If he was, I am not sure that he would leave that stadium without getting seriously injured by the fans
Barcelona vs Atletico de Madrid... pen for Felix
I love your videos
Man city vs liverpool one when city's second goal should have counted but alisson dived
Roma Sevilla match Roma should have gotten a clear penalty
BRO FORGOT THE WOLVES FULHAM
To summarise this all is you could have 12 eyes and 6 heads on the official but still can't make the right decision...just shut that VAR company already...make it a classic way again...
Boycott Simon Hooper😬😡
Rashford one was a clear red. I don't know what's wrong with this guy claiming it was ridiculous
Is 3 points of NUFC v AFC
Some referees are daft
Spurs buy the ref to win their first title after a decade of waiting😂😂
Yes when the ref blew the whistle a min early in half time on Chelsea vs Aston villa
Second🎉, for the first time ever😂😂😂
