The introduction of VAR in football was surely a huge improvement. Goals and penalties can now be double-checked and the correct calls can be made. All that is great, but the technology is not yet perfect and that has led to some huge blunders on the biggest stage.

the person offside in the first clip was the guy who crossed it in on the left-wing, not the guy in the box
VAR was introduced in Romania this season and some the decisions were a disaster. Players got away with "Kane-like" tackles and offside lines were drawn so bad (the system does not yet use the automated offside soft that we saw at the world cup) that in one instance the offside line was not even parallel to the ground texture line. Oh and the head of referees states in a press conference that he doesn't care if a player goes out on a stretcher and ends up in the hospital, it doesn't necessarily have to be a red card.

I stopped watching that World Cup and know Argentina will win the WC right after they were awarded that penalty against Poland. Even the one they get against Saudi was not justified.

The Canada's penalty miss against Belgium was awarded by the same African ref who blew a full time whistle too early during the AFCON game. This is the reason Belgium suffered a bad form and eventually got grouped, which marked the end of the golden generation.
You should toss in both Var red cards for Casamiro. He should not have gotten any of these red cards. Var just needs to go.

In a game between juventus vs salernitana it was 2 2 and juventus scored a last minute winner but was ruled out because a juventus player attempted to kick it when he was offside but he didn’t kick it that makes me angry because I’m a juventus fan😢🙅🏻🤦🏻

Nothing will ever top Luis Diazs goal at Spurs for Liverpool not being given. They never even put the lines on the screen to show how onside he was and then the recording of the VAR officials was made public. The ref didn't even check the pitchside screen. Absolute joke.

Valencia Goal actually was an offside, but I consider it the most complicated football riddle. I believe I watched it over 30 times before I understood why is it offside. But I also think that technology used this microscopic way does destroy football

Yeah Bellingham disallowed goal outrages me the most and that is exactly because yeah okay why are we listening to the whistle. If there is a ref who makes a mistake like aren't the guys running var constantly checking the feed for something just like that. To me this makes var completely useless and it shows that to this day, football is unfair, impure, mostly based on skill but a lot of it could be up to luck and/or corruption. Like oh no I already blew a whistle so we can't allow this totally awesome and deserved goal, even though we have the means to validate this goal quite quickly but you know I already blew a whistle so we can't do that. Seriously am I the only one who thinks that this is crazy???

@@louisegreen1557 You can't tell anything at that time. The corner kick taker (27) was ruled offside when the ball was played back out to him. He's playing the ball at the time you mention, but it was ruled that he hadn't got back onside after taking the corner when Huang headed the ball out to him. There is an angle (non-VAR) and he might have been barely onside. The question was whether Alexander-Arnold at the far post was playing 27 onside when 27 was on the near side of the pitch.
