Joe, awesome video's thank you so much for posting... so wish I was out there with you all!
It was a great pair of events
Hi Joe this brings back memories of my first 16, 50 years ago, once I started to race the boat that’s when I learnt how to sail, keep up the good work, your crew is excellent, a real find
Yes, for sure - she's very good. Thanks
Lol. "what was that noise?" That would be the starting horn. I didn't hear your crew give you a final countdown.
Really enjoyed this. Haven't raced in over twenty five years. Bringing back great memories. I still have my boat that I only get out for a cruise a few times a summer.
HA, yes, Great times.
Glad you could make it!
It's been soooo good!
Was an absolute pleasure racing with you.
Same here!
great videos. love being onboard watching/listening during the race
I'm glad that you're enjoying the coverage.
These race videos are great. newish to racing over here, its good to hear whats going through a more experienced sailors head while racing!
I'm glad that the videos are hitting the spot
Great stuff for sure. My arm chair surfing OCD can't handle the hat and glasses fussing. lol.
Ha! Yes, maybe be a bit much
That’s a not-so-tasty Nacra-flavored pickle at the end!! Don’t second guess your decision. Really good stuff. Bring Laura to Greece for the Ionian!!
Yeah for sure - you'd enjoy sailing with her - Jackson Ms
We can't wait for the Tornado video races 😊😊👍👍
Very soon!
Hi Joe, Great video. Just out of curiosity what was the wind speed for this race? On the Nacre it was a difficult decision, and easy to make with hindsight.
Average around 14 to 16 knots
it looked like you would have done better to hold your tack when the the nacr went by. Your competition took a real speed hit that you wouldn't have experienced. Nice race in any case.
Yeah, I think, looking at it, that would have done better.
👏
🤩
Not being a racer, is the course diamond shaped?
Two buoys - upwind downwind.
I'll talk about this in the next q+a
@@JoyriderTV do they no longer do a triangle course?
maybe a little hungover sailors 🎉
What are you saying???
At the 10 minute mark you mention the Hobie 20 class. If those are FOX 20's they are bad machines. They are the 2nd fastest boats that Hobie ever built.
The fastest being the Tri-Foiler?
@@JoyriderTV Correct. The FOX 20 handicap is a D-PN 62. The TriFoiler is a D-PN 15. Give that some thought...
@@TomKirkman1 yes, I've sailed both and I can confirm that the tri foiler is worthy of that number - fastest boat that I've ever been on!!
@@JoyriderTV I own TF #170.
