Atta girl!! When I first saw that crap, I, too, thought they were booing the family, BUT someone straightened me out as I said it looked like that. I am so happy someone told me what was happening, AND I saw Turtleboy lecturing the crowd IN CASE someone was booing the fam. It is difficult to live them but it's never, ever be ok with them being booed. Peggy & that RBF cousin were horrible a few times in the courtroom, but... despite their manners, they are there for reasons I pray I never have to feel. And, if I do, I pray I won't be ugly to people at all. The ones they were being ugly too certainly didn't deserve that & I think, personally, they should've be scolded for their actions but I'm sure Lally would never find them at fault despite the fact they most certainly were. The hatred of Karen is bizarre to me. I've had mothers of men I've dated diamond be but haven't ever been treated as badly as John's family treat Karen. Course, there's never been a death in the middle. When my husband died his family was pretty despicable to me, now that I think of it. I'm pretty good at ignoring those who seem to only be able to be horrible. Thank God. I'd never want to act like those I've seen acting so ugly. Where does it get us? Love, but hate! It takes just as much effort. I chose indifference if I find I simply can't agree. Hugs, love, & very well said!!

I didn't like EDB basically giving out to Karen for treating the children badly. She totally believed what was put in the O'Keefe civil lawsuit. I don't believe Karen treated Kaley in the way the document suggested. She was close to the children and did care about their welfare. Of course the morning she was looking for John she was quite frantic and worried, and rightly so - he had been beaten up and was actually dying on the lawn of 34 Fairview. Her worry and actions at that may possibly have just saved his life - unfortunately he was either too injured or been outside for too long at that point. She didn't kill him but she may have just saved him, by trying to locate him at that point. Clearly, losing their uncle was absolutely horrendous for the children but I don't think Karen behaved as callously as the civil filing suggests.

I am very grateful for your vlog on this subject. I have watched Emily since the Depp trial.
I'm of the opinion that she made an enormous error of judgement on this trial.
She decided at the outset to not listen to any news or outside information on this case prior to watching so as to not mix up facts.
Unfortunately, she didn't recognise the laborious vagueness and crappy explanation from Lally was all a big act, to coincide with Fudge Bevs controlling aircon, whilst there's probably a huge radiator blasting heat 🥵 🔥 under the jurors. Fanning the flames Sgt Fanning was a witness in charge of them too.
Bev fudged up the exhibits to further create confusion, also made lally object without citing reasoning for the objection, to veil more for appeals later on and calling them to the bench each time; thus shielding the public from finding out the truth.
Emily fell hook line and sinker for the rhetoric of the macalberts.
After 2 episodes i stopped watching her and was relieved to continue watching Andrea Burkhart.
It's really left me wondering if I want to go back to Emily's channel. I adore her humour, but she often speaks over the testimony and misses stuff.
This is why i far prefer Andrea's channel. She makes notes and explains during sidebars, or if it's really important pauses the video.
When things are this important; so corrupt we cannot afford to take such a blasé attitude towards testimony and coverage of trials.
Public trials are for transparency, I want transparency. Thank you so much for your very hard work on this.
    Love from the UK.

One thing to understand about EDB is she went into the trial cold, not wanting to be immersed in all the miscellaneous background info and internet rumors. She wanted to know as much as the jury would know, which is only what was presented in court. She's mentioned wanting to do a deep dive on everything available, but only after the court proceedings are done. As a result I wouldn't expect her to go hunting up videos or talking to anyone about any part of the cases background or he said/she said stuff until after its all complete. Nothing she's said was even vaguely anti protest, which this video insinuates. Only that if negative words or booing were directed at the family as per reports then its something that shouldn't happen. I imagine her stance would be negativity shouldn't be directed at anyone involved.

Aussie is rightfully clarifying for Emily so that Emily doesn't think or insinuate that folks were booing the O'Keefe's. They were not. It's important to clarify that because we do not want to perpetuate that false narrative. I will have to respectfully disagree. If the family is being escorted by the police, and you boo the police, you are in the wrong. You can boo police, I have no problem with that. But to do that while they are escorting the family is foolish - how does anyone know who you are booing? How do they know you are booing the police with the family or the family themselves?
In MHO, if the family is there, no one should be booing anyone. It is just a sign of respect and acknowledgement that whatever their opinion, they are grieving.

The actual boyfriend was cleared of any charges they tried to push on him from that night, one of the officers quickly retired, another officer was criminally charged for firing many many rounds indiscriminately and into other apartments, there is an upcoming court case in October regarding the shoddy police work that night. The law likes order and protests are not orderly. Furthermore Emily is a Lawyer at heart and is only looking at this case as a jurist. If the protests were about a defendant being released that the public didn't agree with the courts and the police would not dislike that. Funny the way that works isn't it! Many of the rights we experience today didn’t happen because the “courts dictated” it, its because of brave people like Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Susan B Anthony, Nelson Mandela, etc..I could keep going! Sometimes it’s important to make some noise when people arent listening. It’s been done in a respectful way with the goal ALWAYS focused on justice!
