It’s week 4 of the dance talent show where dancers of any age and dance style compete to win £50,000 and a chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.
Leading the charge to discover the greatest dancer are three superstar dance captains - platinum-selling singer Cheryl, Broadway and Glee star Matthew Morrison and Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse.
The series is hosted by singer and presenter Alesha Dixon and Jordan Banjo, member of multi-award-winning dance troupe Diversity.
The audience hold the power - if they are impressed by the audition, they can vote to open the mirror, and if 75 per cent of the audience vote yes then the mirror will open and the dancer will make it through to the next stage of the competition, the callbacks. Get ready to see talent from across the world of dance, from ballet to jazz, street to ballroom, contemporary to disco as the dancers give the performances of their lives in the hope of opening the mirror.

I love how he didn't let his one mistake mess up the routine. That recovery was amazing that dance was amazing these boys are amazing
The audience definitely took note. I've watched this a couple of times and after his immediate recovery the votes flooded in.

It actually did. He completed the routine, but the slip had shaken his confidence to the point where he stopped performing the moves full out. His extensions had started to get messy and you could see it.

jay the worst thing a dancer can do is blame the clew for their mistakes.. slips happens and it’s very selfish to blame it on the floor or crew, they work hard to make us look good and get our shining light and rarely get the recognition they deserve..

They danced so well and to carry on and catch up after a stumble is impressive. I'm so glad that Matthew, like most of the audience found the performance so moving that he's put them through to the next round.

The parents and instructors teach this.
Dance exams are a regular part of Dance Academies and the Examiner provides grading on several points, plus positives and where the dancer needs to improve.
My daughters went through RAD and ISTD.
How else do they know they are doing?
Sometimes it is tough to hear, but positive feedback is critical to improve.
minatormyth no what she was commenting on was actually the opposite - That they DID mime the lyrics a bit. I guess it's something that maybe they do to concentrate or whatever but she feels they shouldn't. Makes sense? Btw I haven't watched it closely so idk if it's even true that they mime
The stumble the older one had almost looked like it was choreographed as he covered it up well. And i also like messups in anything as it shows like he said that people are human. I almost started crying. These guys are brilliant together and they will hopefully go far.
oh sad you are so cynical to even think that stumble was deliberate! sign of our times I guess.
@@jamesa0330 They're implying he covered it up so well that it looked like the choreography. This is a really common thing for dancers to say to each other when we slip and do our best to cover it. They weren't saying it was an intention mistake.

It's fine, she isn't wrong a dancer singing to the song is an easy thing to do, but can be distracting. The best dancers even get told not to do that. She is helping them.

Great recovery from that slip and brilliant dance
once in a while when two soul mates come together to perform a beautiful artistic and in sync - amazing outcome. Hope James & Oliver team up because they encourage and bring out the best of each other. This is rare and it showed when they danced with their hearts.

My daughter is fortunate and lucky enough to dance at the same place as these guys. They are absolutely phenomenal dancers and always give people goosebumps with their performances. They are also 2 of the loveliest kids you will meet and deserve every success.

They're very talented and incredibly charming, but whomever choreographed that number took advantage of every aspect: size, strength, age, boyish charm and brotherly emotion. That routine requires a lot of extension and they both did beautifully.

eh boring choreography & their technique honestly isn’t very great. obviously them being brothers is cute & everything, (not in real life, in the dance) but the fact they got through and not the ballet dancer is absolutely appalling to me.

I am sorry but this was amazing! What the hell does Cheryl know about professional dancing!! All her dances are choreographed by someone else and she just copies!!! The other two judges stood up and clapped Cheryl did not😠 enough said!!

Wait! They are not brothers?!?!... now that I think about it they look nothing alike... whoops, they just danced like they've known each other for the whole life and danced together the whole time. Great chemistry! Love that! And the slip up. I mean he just tried to stay in the routine and not be late to anything but for me the way he desperately tried not to fall and tried to get to the other boy in time, it just looked like he ran to help/save his little brother. 😁🙂 it might the be last book I read and the fact that I thought they really were brothers, that make me still see that this way. It just looked like: "no! Not him!" Kind of running to save him. 😂😂😂

the reason i thought the comment was DUMB, was because if they were dancing on a proper stage, even if you had front row center seats, you couldn't see if his mouth was moving. She was watching the performance on the big screen. unless he plans a career of TV dance, who cares if he's mouthing the words. it had nothing to do with the brilliant performance.
