    That level of dance technique and expression in one child that age is rare. To have it in 5 of them is extraordinary. I did not expect that.

      Yes, everything was there. Different styles of movement, power, enthusiasm, confidence, and telling an uplifting story. (I wondered why the one boy was "out of uniform" at the beginning.) We've got five Billy Elliots here.
      I get angry when I see kids suffering. But I cry when I see them succeed beyond anyone's expectations.

    10 through 12 years old, and they are dancing like they have had years of experience. Their coordination matched the lyrics, to where they're dancing told the story, that was excellent coordination, and the fact that they have obviously push their self, to be able to have the flexibility for that type of dancing , is absolutely astonishing! You shouldn’t have to. Bullies no matter what age are just insecure with themselves and sometimes even the paths they have taken. It saddens me that they feel they have to hurt others to make themselves feel better. I’ve found that ignoring these types of people is the best way to handle them unless it’s physical. And be sure to let HR or your managers know keep a document of every thing they do and say I’ve been through this and these are the things that ended up helping. I’m happy 😃 we have smart people like you! Where in the world would we be if we didn’t? We are all different which is what makes everything work. ❤

      Yes yes yes to you both. Teachers and administrators are in charge of students during the school day. I don't care how angry a parent gets that their "little angel" was punished and had to face the consequences of their actions. Our children matter, even the bullies. Why let them grow up as the bullies or the bullied? School should expand it's curriculum to teach students self respect, how to handle difficult situations and other real world topics. Kids are in a vacuum and then we set them free and they basically get slapped in the face. Surprise! We didn't prepare you for any of this. Have fun!

    Bullying is a bad behavior which has been around for many decades. I am 62 years old, and I can remember one boy in my classroom which was feared by many of us in the elementary school, he was the bully of the school. I honestly don't think that it will stop but there are many ways to overcome it nowadays and this is one of them, encourage that child, that person to look deep inside of him or herself and bring out that talent hidden, due to fear. Help that start shine to its best.

    • @sfrobink
      @sfrobink 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do think the bully needs to be reined in, because this causes so much hurt in others. Someone who is well trained in the school community can work with the bullying kids and help them to understand that not everyone is going to be same, that kids have their own inclinations and talents and to let them be. There might also be a family problem, in which case, the supervising family adults would need to be included in the counseling.

      It wasn't at all GB worthy. Another five years of dance experience might see the improvement needed, but it's not at all good to encourage mediocrity---too bad people get all uptight at the thought of this being mediocre, but they were far too young to have built a really good choreographed routine.
      But again, a few years of hard work, and then it would be, perhaps, worthy of whatever is "the" high thing the judges award.

    When they walked out, i didn't understand why one was dressed differently, that is, until the song started. I was in tears so fast. What a beautiful performance! I about lost it when the one boy was given his matching jacket. I wish I had their brand of courage throughout my life.
