Thank you for sharing, if I have the setting on Mix 2, how much or how long can a shower last in average typical weather? Is it similar to tankless water heater (Truma Aqua Go) and how big is the Truma WTer Tank? 2.5 gallons?
Hi there, thanks for the vid. When I put my combi on to 'mix2' mode and select 'boost' mode, the water is only heated up with eletric only. However, i can still individually heat the water on 'gas only'. Any idea why? Cheers
Have a try on mix 1, if all the other settings are working then it could be a pcb problem. But also just have a read in the manual to make sure there is nothing to do with certain temperatures or anything silly that will stop it from working on both.
Thank you for the video. Question #1: If I just want to heat the water for a shower, do I need to turn the "inside caravan heating indicator" on to a certain temperature? #2, if I just want to use electricity to heat the water, do I need to turn the caravan gas on? Thank you in advance for your advice.
I have a question please Dual fuel Truma combi-boiler with en-route operation but how do you operate it while driving for on route lol I got told to always have gas off while driving so this is confusing Thanks
@@thecaravanplace thanks just what I thought lol I think they need to tell people when buying new this isn’t meant for on route driving - but only when Parked up
Thanks 🙏 I understand the settings now. Have you any advice re a scorching smell when heating up water once it’s been on about 15 mins? We hv an Autosleeper panel van conversion and everyone I’ve asked says it’s normal and will go eventually.
Thanks, if its a plastic smell, it could be the fan needs cleaning as they sometimes get a build up of dust and carbon. If you ask the service centre to clean the fan and see if that helps.
Good vid but i would have liked to see prior to this i.e. how you prime the boiler? Your vid appears to start just when you have done that? The manual makes reference to filling the boiler but this is not clear as to whether that means you have simply filled the water tank and then turn the sink taps on? Can you clarify please?
If you have a look at the manual and see if you can do a reset, it may be that one of the settings has been changed. If you are able to reset this should change the setting and allow it to work, if its still not working then a caravan engineer would need to take a look. hope this helps.
Oh no, I'm not sure how it can be explained any easier sorry. It may be worth pausing it after each part and then try on your system as it goes through the different settings and this may make it easier to understand.
My Truma combi doesn't have a screen, just a dial with two 'wheels', one for on, one for level of heating. Must be older. Really want a demo of my version.
Hi there thank you for sharing good Blog., is there a lot of noise when the heater is operating? Thank you
You can normally hear the blow air fan? If using gas then this makes more noise than the electric. Hope this helps.

Thanks, it's only 10 litres so not long as it has to refill then reheat.

Hi, you can just select the water and leave the heating off. No need to have the gas on, just select the electric and it will heat up for you.
is there any way to put the gas tank outside of the caravan?
@@sallybowles2781 you can get longer pig tails or gas hose, but most sites will want the gas bottles to be kept inside the locker. 👍

Only when you pull over and stop. It's not worth the risk of trying to use on the move.

I’ll investigate tomorrow. Thanks for your help 👍🏻

Hi, yes sorry just fill the aquaroll and pull the water through the taps, remember to do all taps and shower to get any air out of the system. 👍
Thanks for this but you didn't mention the Arrow button on the left
Just a back button to go back to the start screen I think
How long does it take to heat up to 60 degrees Celcius hot water on the 'hot' mode?
Its about 30-45 mins on elec depending on ambienttemperature, we ran the boost and it was about 15 mins on gas last week.
What is the difference between elec 1 and 2.
1 is a lower wattage and 2 is a higher wattage, so if you go to a site with low amp supply you can run on 1 low power. Hope this helps.
We are not able to have heating on and heat water at the same time. Both work fine separately. any ideas?

Where can I buy this system?
Do you need water to use the heating ?
No you can just use the heating setting, just make sure you don't turn the water heater on with no water.
Dreadful presentation. Just pressing a button back and forth, impossible to follow.

@@janedownlane I will see if we have one with that system, if not I will do a video and let you know asap. Thanks.
Thanks, really helpful!
