I knew about the keeb community for a while now, but i finally decided to get into it a week before the NK65 Superuser group buy expired. I thought it wasthe dopest thing ever, its absolutely my endgame. My next endgame is a MF108 LOL
Endgame means you have reached the total amount that you are willing to spend
To those that live on Reddit, Twitch and Twitter, endgame means spending an insane amount of money for a board you desire (like some new old stock Japanese Cherry board) but hardly ever use.

I'm glad you addressed the tangerines affecting the lighting. My board is bright orange now. Using the 67g tangerines on my kbd67. Very smooth!
I had to change my board's LED's to a light blueish color so it would kind of counteract it. It kind of worked, and these are definitely the smoothest linears I've ever had!
@@andrewsteele5939 well that's definitely an alternative! Haha. I just decided to turn the RGB lights off altogether. I'm currently interested in Gat Ink Blacks but I've heard those don't allow the RGB to shine either because of the dark smoky housing.
@@mikes41720 I actually used black inks before I got the tangerines! In my use, the LED's shined through just fine, although it might have been dimmed a little bit because of the smoky housing

@@mikes41720 I haven't really used that many, in my history of linear switches I've used gat reds, yellows, black inks, and now tangerines. I'm currently in the middle of lubing novelkey creams so I'll see how those feel! So far my favorites have definitely been tangerines and black inks, black inks for their sound, and tangerines for their feel.
I really liked this video and think you should make more switch reviews because they can be very informational to new people in the keyboard community and can help decide what switches they want while being entertaining

Bro your narration is awesome, you speak so clearly and your humor is bang on without distracting from the video. I really hope you get far. Also your typing is getting so much better I use to type like you a couple months ago and then learned to use 9 fingers properly and now I'm cruising along at 120wpm easily and sometimes surging 130 when before I was just popping blood vessels and grinding my teeth trying to get 90. Give it a go I reckon.

NGL, those sound almost as good as my lubed/filmed Gat Black Inks that I adore. Would love to see what these sound like properly lubed/filmed.

I have the 62gram versions of these, I lubed and filmed them last March and I still love them

The orange backlit tint looks very nice
I like those Tangies. But I'll wait to put them in a board that doesn't light up. I think I would get tired of the orange color after a while. Good switch.

This is so good, cant wait for more citrus inspired keys and, of course, pandas, great dams, space missions, trade disputes, real estate bubbles and the likes
Also, the tangies have a very nice and clear thocc too!
No joke I feel like these sound better on integrated plate. I put them on my D60 and kbd67 and the alpacas, mauves, and gat inks feel and sound better. Idk why.
With the caps on, I think the milky yellows sound the best, with tangerines at a close second. Although, that's probably cause the gats are already lubed and filmed.
Also, flipped spacebar is GOAT. Don't @ me.

Just bought this same TKC unopened box of tangerines from eBay. Of the 75 I received, 54 of them were very vibrant and sounded like I would assume what they are supposed to. 21 of them had more of a dull sound. Does this mean they need to be lubed? Which ones are the “good ones”? Any help would be great

Funny enough the restock of Tangerine switches before black Friday, the 67g switches sold out pretty fast
I love my gateron yellow pro's.. are these really that much different ? been playign with the idea of desoldering one of my earlier boards (the rk61 you thought was ok), and soldering on some yellows and replacing these in my hotswap board with some oil kings or some tangerines...

i have a switch question. this is sort of a best switch question but i’m giving my preference too. i am looking for a very very silent, and very smooth but sort of budget linear switch. something less than $50 for a batch that’s enough to fit a 75% board, or a 65% with an extra 3 switches for a macro pad. can anyone help? (i was kinda thinking cherry silent reds)

I actually wouldn't recommend the ones I got they are super annoying to use, but I just searched backdrop on amazon.

How do you find them compared to the Gateron Milky Yellows?
Much smoother! But a bit too heavy for me.
I kinda often get switches pins bent out of the box i think it is due to shipping

Building my first keyboard for my legion go setup, so here i am.
Looking at these for an evangelion theme (running the mk72 amethyst and evangelion key caps with some see threw to show the orange)
im confused, these are what i am considering for my first keyboard and I will lube them, my only question is if they fit in a hot-swap keyboard, or do I have to sauter them?

Tbh I just lube over it, but you could use an ultrasonic cleaner

when I bought cheap switches off banggood at least 30 out of 80 had bent pins, all of them I was able to bend back tho

jwk switches are inconsistent all around. i bought the silent ones Dolphine and the L1 yellow. And the silent where super wobbly in my Nk65 aluminum. So i had to film them. And some had a weird odd ping. and most of the pins where vent as well. Maybe it was my batch or something.

Smoothest “contact based”* linear switch. Pretty much all contactless switches win against these in my experience. The new razed switch is even smoother than tealios, and i am not a razor fan lol
How are gateron opticals ?
bought some of these bad boys, 67 grams, use them to type all day every day... they are buttery smooth, so much satisfying than tactile (had MX browns on my keyboard) I'm glad I'm in the linear gang now XD

@@loiywer1292 Yes, still use them, wrote around 500.000 words on them, still in love. I like how they sound (although the rest of the keyboard probably plays a more important part in the sound) and I still absolutely love how they feel. I lubed and filmed them when I installed them, and then I didn't do any maintenance. And to be honest wasn't as painful as I thought. Actually, you put on a movie, lube your switches... It's quite a nice experience doing it once :) The only drawback I can see is the orange color interfering with the rgb if you care about the lighting side (I don't)

I had no idea how in demand these were or how serious people took purchasing them. I got an email that they were restocking at 12 pm. I thought, there’s no way I would forget to buy them by the end of the day. I checked the website at 12:20, and they were sold out. Would I be able to get them even if I tried at 12 sharp?
