kalaripayatu is more Yoga than a Martial Art. Also its very limited for practioners because you need to start at young age to get this felxibility. Also at a certain age you wont be able to do all the techniques.

PTK is NOT "indigenous pure Filipino art" as GM gaje claims.... GT Gaje said his pekiti tirsia started 1897 BUT if you ask Eskrimadors and historians from Negros Island like James U. Sy Jr and Rene Tongson amd Samuel A. Ibe, Gm Jerson tortal jr (his nephew, by the way GM jerson tortal Sr is GM gaje’s uncle),
      Celestino Macachor of Cebu,
and ex-pupil Daniel Foronda (on FB you can contact them to verify), pekiti is a mix of Tortal family arnis, Lapulapu vinas arnis, Momoy canetes spada y daga and Indonesian silat by Eddie jaffri. Due to marketing and exoticiization to promote pure Kali to foreigners GT gaje marketed it as such...when in fact all Arnis styles like Pekiti Tirsia Arnis (yes the former name) have Spanish roots
There is definitely a Spanish connection to FMA evidenced in the Spanish loanwords like contradas, abecedario, baston, daga etc. That is why do NOT believe in Jay Bataclan, Mick Alcaraz, GT Gaje's claims that ptk is "indigenous pure Kali without Spanish influence" which is Not true. the guys i mentioned spread fake news on PTV 4, CNN Philippines and Abs CBN La Luna Sangre, Not everybody is uto-uto (gullible) ; Many on The Filipino Martial Arts Forum on FB knows the PTK myths perpetuated by Gaje, Bataclan, etc.
Even the Urduja Kali princess promoted by
Academy of Survival arts is a MYTH debunked by PH Historian Ambeth de Ocampo of Ateneo de Manila University.

glad to see this art being promoted now, in my small village in leyte, out of 3000, maybe there was 1 person who was passed on this art..the master chooses the student/s, they don't just teach it to anyone, unlike the chinese martial art school and charge you tuition..or the belt system, there was no belt system, only years of training backyard, underground, etc..nobody would know who was who as it was not promoted...

please read this. Further verified info about GT gaje and ptk (with resource people you can ask on FB, records you can refer to)
Recommended reading on exposes VS GT Gaje and PTK: from ex-ptk Daniel Foronda's Mumbakki Wordpress mumbakki.wordpress.com/2012/09/30/filipino-martial-arts-two-most-common-questions/ - especially "Filipino Martial Arts' 2 Most Common Questions" and "Affirmation of Support for Daniel Foronda"- a 2012 signed document of Many as in many arnisadors VS Gaje, you can contact on FB those people who signed, and "Overusing the words ancestors, forefathers, culture".
take Note Kanishku, DOug and Kill arman received the Chicken Blood RItual of Gaje's Cult, you can ask on FB Kit and Buddy acenas they were there, but both acenas brothers kicked out by gaje but kit acenas believed in Celestino Macachor (Fact Checker VS gaje, macachor author of Cebuano Eskrima: beyond the myth 2007), and kit acenas became Estokada de campo.
Jay Ignacio's The Bladed Hand also exposed the Spanish roots of PTK aka Pekiti tirsia arnis aka Arnis America Organization (ask GM Rene tongson, a kababayan of Gaje).
      James U. Sy Jr of bacolod (Culture Nurture on youtube) has records like the video of Lapulapu vinas arnis knife which influenced Gaje, there was picture of GT gaje, GM nene tortal and GM Jose Vinas in 1993 book Masters of Arnis by Edgar sulite;
Samuel A. Ibe exstudent of both Gaje and GM vinas can attest the Lapulapu vinas arnis influence on GT gaje ptk.
many long time PH FMAers like Roland Isla, Raul marquez, torqui dojillo know the Kali myths, cultish antics and chest thumping of GT gaje and cronies, ask ROland isla about the ptkgo thread in The Filipino Martial arts forum 2010.
Manolo Luis del Rosario of LSAI davao know that too, he said "ang yayabang nga nila (ptk) before, tactical this tactical that."
Manolo aka Banakun was bullied also by Franciotti in FMAtalk insisting the Tuhon title
but IN Fact, there is no pinoy Tuhon word, it is TUHAN in indo-malay meaning God/Lord God, per Professor Felipe Jocano anthropologist, the lated Ned Nepangue (fluent in Bahasa) and Nasrun Minallah Bunga Lima Tausug arts (Justin P. Villanueva and Halman Abubakr).
The Filipino Martial Arts forum FB group from PH- is important source for authentic FMA from PH and FMA fake histories expose's.
Raul Marquez of Ilustrisimo said Gaje ptk is "Kulto Negosyo" and Warren Dmn said Gaje "Needs to go to Looney bin" due to gaje's dictator personality wearing paramilitary getup not AFP approved, other people attest Gaje seems like suffering from Crazy mental illness/paranoia based on Gaje's online statements...you can ask them on FB
Mick alcaraz and Jay bataclan are just doing Damage control for Gaje and alcaraz, bataclan just Luring gullible Millenials/young professionals into ptk pilipinas, But thanks to The Filipino Martial arts Forum on FB, many do Not join because they were Informed ahead..with records, witnesses
P.S. Yes GT Gaje also trained with Doce Pares, just ask GM Dionisio canete and Celestino macachor, there is a 1979 picture of GT gaje training with GM momoy canete of doce pares clan...also the Mastika Kintan Malaysian silat influenced ptk as GT gaje went to malaysia attested by Tuhon bill mcgrath (he was there with GT) and the Doce pares clan (you can contact @MarkShotokai on youtube he knows the GT gaje-doce pares connection/history).
