Love this. True humility has open hands to growth. Respect. Respect to all practitioners and teachers who sweat and “” Eat bitter” to attain excellence, and endeavor to pass it on. 🙏
Great interview and a great concept. This idea of mutual benefit when artists are willing to set aside their egos and share was the highlight for me. Blessings
Totally agree. As from personal experience, everything gets stiffer and tighter as we're getting older. Finding myself having to stretch and warm up more often before doing anything rigorous. Not like in our 20's where we can just go at any moment.

Agreed, and it will keep you up when you get older. Can't reverse the aging process, all we can do is do delay slightly. Horse stance is a love/hate releationship, but beneficial in the long run.
My Brother from another Mother!! I love this man!! He is such a caring Man!! I have known Saadiq since 1996!! The Air Force brought us together!! This Man is blessed beyond measure!! Amen!!
Lol that's kinda how I was taught. My uncle's were in the military and they were monsters. At least according to the family. I was born at the start of 70s Ambidextrous and smaller than the rest of my family growing up in Chicago. Yet fighting wasn't a problem for me because I was ambidextrous. The problem was they couldn't take a beating from someone they assumed they should dominate so violence escalated. So my uncle's pulled me into training. Simultaneously the most brutal yet amazing time in my young life. Good times
This guys mental is on a different level , his philosophy of the art and the understanding of the relationship between humans whether they happend to be teaching or learning is on point. I oftern say "chicken noodle soup." At a certain point in training because until someone brings the bowl , the water , the noodles we cant eat , we eat when we all learn . . Thank u for sharing your video . Osu
Not a problem, it's what we do for the community through this channel, giving instructor's that doesn't get recognition, but has done great things within the FMA community.

Cool. I attended a seminar of Tuhon Leo Gaje back in 1984, New York City. My background is Karate but I really liked this seminar what little knowledge I could grasp at that one. I still have the T-shirt.
Love your Philosophy Sir. Keep up the good teachings. I'm Filipino that love Martial Arts, especially Arnis. I'd love to be in one of your seminar if you happen to be around Philly. I know, Maryland is not that far, lol :) God Bless
Feel free to reach out to him or Tuhon Jesse, I'm sure they'd love to collaborate and do a seminar in your town. They work together on the Pagtitipon seminar project where they promote FMA across the states.
I live in Baltimore Maryland. Do you teach in Baltimore Maryland ? If so where do you teach and at what times do you have classes? How can I contact you?
@FMAPulse honestly it would be an honor to train under either one of them the reason I asked is because I'm a resident of the City of New York so if there's a training facility in New York City I'll sign up right away.
Great interview, talking about respect and how to be humble. Honest talk from the Heart. This is what you find when you train within a real combative Art. I thank you for sharing your insight and knowledge the few times that i have been able to interact with you ! Scott Beard
A Beautiful Brother....whom I've known personally from our Air Force years......OUTSTANDING HUMAN BEING...WITH A GREAT FAMILY.......
Saddiq is that you?
Wonderful to see my Kuya share his journey and wisdom. 🙏🏾
Only a delight to hear this man speak.
His words at the end gave me goose pimples. Thanks for sharing the journey of this kind human being🙏💛

Well said! Just like Rocky Balboa said, "can you take the hit and keep moving forward."
Rock Soup....now this a very powerful concept to adopt. One's skill sets has to evolve, our body ages and thus a need to adopt what works.❤

Glad you like them! Took me a while to get back editing. Has to take a break to regain my sanity after editing all the videos from Philippines.

Can you do those moves against a resisting opponent?

Beautiful analogy, martial arts as the stone soup.
Absolutely. Not one person can defend the village by themself.
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Would love to see a video with guro Dan insanstos
Hopefully, some of our friends/contacts said he doesn't do interviews anymore...or rarely does.

Is there a school in nyc I can enroll in 🤔
Are you looking to train under Pekiti Tirsia or specifically under Tuhon Saadiq?

Tuhon Leo gaje Jr was the supreme master of ptk he's the Best master and fast but also he has a friend also learn Kali his name is guru Dan inosanto
Shifu Kanishka?
It is sad that more non-Filipino or foreign martial arts are being taught in the Philippines rather than FMA due to colonial mentality.
