Happened to me once 12 years ago. One student in second grade popped off all the erasers from the back of the new pencils. We didn't know who did it, it was only one student. The teacher gave all of us lunch detention. Apparently some kids later found them in a student's backpack, don't know if she got in trouble though. Besides that I've sat through countless hour long lectures because my class wouldn't behave for a sub or something even though I was always the quiet kid who just wanted to get my work done and go home. It was bullshit being lumped in with other people's bad behavior and treated like I was a problem. Messed up my confidence in myself as I grew up for sure.
This man literally called all the students immature when they were legit acting more mature than HIM. From what I’ve seen, they’re all talking very respectfully but he is raising his voice and getting angry at them. Don’t forget that these are CHILDREN and if you can’t deal with children acting like children than you shouldn’t be a teacher.

+GDPScottish - Nothing another one happened to me last week, there were 3 girls in the bathroom during lunch period, and the teacher who found them gave us all (the entire 7th grade) a punishment, then the lunch monitor gave us all a punishment, then the monitor told the principal about it and he gave us all punishment, and the substitute for the next day gave us all punishment. Overall, for 99% of the people doing what they"re told, we got 2months of assigned seats, no talking for a week, no chrome books for a month ( the school gave us those). In 3rd grade someone dropped something and nobody spoke up so the teacher kept raising the punishment for the entire class, it got to the point where everyone had lunch detention for 2 weeks.

+GDPScottish - Nothing another one happened to me last week, there were 3 girls in the bathroom during lunch period, and the teacher who found them gave us all (the entire 7th grade) a punishment, then the lunch monitor gave us all a punishment, then the monitor told the principal about it and he gave us all punishment, and the substitute for the next day gave us all punishment. Overall, for 99% of the people doing what they"re told, we got 2months of assigned seats, no talking for a week, no chrome books for a month ( the school gave us those). All because of some other people!!!

I hate when teachers continue to lecture the behaving kids like they did something wrong too. You kicked all the kids out who did something wrong, drop it and move on, don’t keep lecturing the ones sitting there who didn’t do anything. I’ve noticed it a lot this year on zoom since my son is distance learning. A lot of kids join for attendance and then log off shortly after the teacher starts teaching like they think she won’t notice, but the teacher only talks about it after kids have left and says she can see who leaves when, how long they’re in the meeting etc. She goes on and on telling the kids who are logged in, ma’am, they’re here, they don’t need this talk. Email or call the kids parents who keep doing it. You’re just taking time away from the kids who want to learn, the. They complain they didn’t have enough time in class to get their lesson done. Not the kids fault u lectured kids who didn’t need a lecture for 15 min

The fact that the kid told the truth and owned up to his mistake was amazing. But the teacher had no right to tell him he’s gonna do the right thing by writing him up.
