    I like when TH-camrs engage and respond to each other. It reminds me of the "old days" when everyone was an amateur enthusiast rather than today's more "professional" reviewers.

      Nothing professional going on here! haha. Thanks for watching!

    Love it, have an older mid-sized one (36mm ish) and it’s great. The newer ones, though large, fit really well.
    My only gripe is the bezel - I can’t turn that thing easily for the life of me!

    • @AussieWristWatch
      @AussieWristWatch  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree the bezel is a little difficult to turn. I can't speak to the Tudor watches and their rotating bezel's but the Submariner is the best by far...

    I've purchased the 300m in Blue, White and then Green. All gone now. I love the look of the watch. No issues with the HE or skeleton hands. But with my 6.3" wrist, it's just too big. I am waiting on the Anniversary Summer Blue PO. 39mm is a much better fit for me.

      Yeah I guess one of the few times having ‘big bones’ pays off 😂

    Own the Seamaster 300 heritage in blue absolutely love it the braclet is much better than the 300 pri and movement is better. Looking to get a planet ocean or Aqua terra as daily watch.

    Great video. I love Britt's videos too. I've been thinking about purchasing this watch. I don't mind the look of the helium escape valve, but I think that they should admit that it's just a useless decorative nob. I think the bracelet would be okay for me, but I prefer the look of the rubber band. My hangup, though, is the skeleton hands. I really prefer the hands on the older model. If I go for one, I'd go for a black dial and it would be my everyday watch. All my best to you and your wife!

      Nice! I totally get the hands issue, it’s very subjective.

    Love this watch so much for what it offers, that i got two! Unique character, unique looks. I got the white dial, coz of how the colour truly pops and looks so vibrant with the splash of red font and red tip on the second hand. And the other piece is the NTTD - just coz I love Danial Craig as bond. And what a watch the NTTD is. Lightweight, slim on wrist (for a sports watch), subtle, quiet, yet confident.

    I thought after the Journe mishap, the Gringa could not wear a controversy again. I think a person like her with a 5.5in wrist cannot criticize q watch that is obviously made thinking about the 90% of the population not like her. Not even rolex have a submariner that would “fit” her criteria. Now, Omega has a Planet Ocean in 37mm that would fit her great!
    Great work

    Like this video concept. I love my smp300, more so than my rolex sub. I've have a love/hate relationship with the He escape valve. I currently like it now, but wish it was smaller like the previous generation. Bracelet isn't very good, like the toolless micro adjust but it needs to taper. anyways good video, appreciate your opinion

    • @AussieWristWatch
      @AussieWristWatch  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yeah the lack of taper on the steel bracelets is definitely an oversight on Omega's part. But as I said, the rubber strap mine came with is gold! Cheers for watching!

    Don’t laugh. I have the old midsize Seamaster 300 Professional, the small Pierce Brosnam one. It is from 1998. I love it. My only niggle is the lack of bracelet micro adjustment.
    Great video. Keep up the good work.

    If women wore watches that were designed for women they wouldn't be complaining about size ( FACT ) An Omega Seamaster 300M is a mans watch, of course an omega seamaster 300m looks ridiculous on a small wrist, this TRUTH is so obvious, Don't women know that Omega, Rolex and other top brands also make watches for women?
    Also, be honest ... replacing the steel bracelet with a rubber band is an injustice, an insult to Omega.

      FACTs have a terrible habit of being verifiable independently. What was your source of reference for your women/size/complaining FACT?

    • @AussieWristWatch
      @AussieWristWatch  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My weekly troll returns! Fact - the rubber strap is actually an Omega strap that came with the watch - so I guess Omega has insulted themselves!? As for your misogynistic view on men's and women's watches, you can have it, I'll wear whatever I want regardless.

    I know both of you are saying its all in jest, but what is is about the SMP300 that makes people obsessed with it being universally liked by everyone??!!
    Its a Cult! SMP300 Owners/Fans/Fanboys seem unable to have any self confidence.
    Good on Brit for calling out the size. TH-cam commenters cannot stop saying 40mm+ watches are too big, yet the SMP300 gets a get out of jail card on its size lol.
    You should get the rubber/deployant strap for it if available for that model ; )

    • @AussieWristWatch
      @AussieWristWatch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d never say a 40mm plus is too big. I wear a 47mm Panerai after all. Thanks!

    • @wristopia4101
      @wristopia4101 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AussieWristWatch I know you wouldn't 😈
      (You really should get a PO, or Ultradeep ; )
      I certainly do not think it is either. My point was that people that do think 42mm is big are afraid to say it about the SMP300!

    I have the current 300 pro black on steel bracelet and yes agree it is too big and heavy. The bracelet is good but definitely should taper. Actually my first nice watch was a mid size polished steel bezel quartz in 1999. Nicer bracelet design but still should have tapered down to the clasp. Please keep your partner out of it. No-one wants to know about observations on partners of reviewers.

    Each to their own; its just an opinion etc (but she's wrong, obviously 🙂). Ill never part with mine - its a late Brosnan-era 42mm that I've had for nearly 20 years. Take care.

    I think your Seamaster looks seriously cool on you. How does the size compare on the wrist to your 42mm’s? I had the 45.5mm Planet Ocean a long time ago and it was just too overwhelming so I’d love to hear how you get on with the 43mm. Cheers 😊
