Ceaseless is the first time I’ve pulled a pack signature legendary, and I’m very much enjoying it as just a good late game board wipe option for my Druid grind deck. I don’t want to promote degen stuff, but I hope something doesn’t happen to make it banned from standard, as I’m a bit fond of it for being my first sig pull, and the art is dope.
So when the expansion came out i went into my collection to look for something to do against this and i found this little rouge secret called shenanigans and decided that this would be really funny. after over an hour of either not queing into a pally or not finding the card in time i was severely disappointed with the result. it does the damage first and then transforms. i guess thats one way to read the cards but it would have been so funny if it worked. like it would have been great.
As someone who doesn’t play wild, and hasn’t played hearthstone in a while, hearing “people wouldn’t be that upset with a 2 card 7 mana otk” is so funny
Sure, aggro has it's place in the game and I do wish for it to return. However, let's not play pretend it is fun to die on turn 3 to shadow priest. There are also so many "feel bad" cards in wild that I would rather see touched, the demon seed probably being the most prevalent.
@@lisaisdeceased My opinion and what I've seen be the common sentiment is that the demon seed is the very height of unfun gameplay. I don't know if you are a demon seed player yourself, or an aggro player trying to cope that it's completely fine as a deck that actively kills itself is free pickings. I don't care if it came off as condescending, it was very clear I was talking about feel bad decks/cards that I personally dislike. Furthermore, I also specified that the demon seed was the most prevalent, refering to the fact that there are other such cards/decks of a similar nature.
Oh hey this happened to me yesterday. I brought libram paladin into wild on accident and I was looking at my 2nd monitor during my opps turns and I suddenly see I took 100 damage. I thought maybe they were hacking. I was really disappointed with Hearthstones inability to let me look at the board state from the loss screen
@@koyllz gutting the intended usage of the card to support some obscure combo that it enables is not a good idea. That would basically make shirvallah unplayable as a minion for whatever casual who feels like playing her. Like her one and only purpose would be to get drawn by holy wrath. Not to mention all this does is create weird breakpoints that encourage people to run renathal.
Got legend on this deck yesterday in a couple of hours. It's best deck, yes, but unexpectedly many classes have teck cards against it, like mage, warrior, paladin, warlock, rogue, demon hunter, maybe hunter.
I like this deck, and I think either reverting or seriously changing order is the play. It means you're either using Dredge or Overplanner and that bit of inconsistency would I think make it more fair. I really, really don't want them to hit Holy Wrath but I think they probably will. Although this is all working off the assumption that it needs to be changed, and I'm not certain it does, if I'm honest. It probably is too fast, but I think it's as commonly played as it is mainly because it's fun and flashy, and that will be less of a factor with time.
Holy wrath has always posed a massive balancing problem in wild, they basically have to walk on eggshells every time they want to design a highly-costed card. But what boggles me is that the fix is so easy, they literally only have to put a cap on how much damage the card deals. Sure depending on the cap the card might not see play anymore, but who cares the way the card works is degenerate anyway.
So the current best decks in wild rn are HWP, Immortal Mage and Quasar Rogue. &it's honestly scary how Quasar Rogue could possibly win against Paladin. Personally I run Edwin + Loatheb for a cool lockdown finisher but more hardcore players will probably just use the Spell Dmg version.
I feel like it's a pretty good time to make videos about what degenerate decks the expansion has spawned or allowed to really shine, this is a good vid! I'm very tin-foil hat about blizz "overlooking" holy wrath paladin being broken; like there's just no way they didn't see this coming
Holy Wrath should just be removed from the game, it's never been in anything other than a degenerate combo deck, and it limits design space of expensive cards.
I got hit by this in casual. Then played against quasar rogue immediately after. Like why would you play that in casual, I'm trying to play mal'ganis and you otk me on turn 5. Very fun.
Nah this deck isnt aggro, its an otk combo deck that has an unfairly easy/early wincon. Anyways, what I wanted to say is while the deck can feel to play, its horrible to play against. Its the kind of deck that even if it had bad winrate would still need a nerf because it almost puts the game in single player mode. And time out just makes it even worse lol.
Love the deck but not a fan of the list you're playing. Personally I like my tutor targets to be as bare bones as possible to improve tutor consistency. Holy Wrath is the only holy spell in my list and Finley+Knight
It's not rogue, maybe they'll nerf the shill and that's it at least for 6 months. We don't want to upset all our mage and paladin players with a nerf to kill right
Guess I managed to get the worst legendaries of this expansion: Talgath and Gorm! You could argue that Uluu is even worse than these two, because his effect is too random and too low value most of the time, but these 3 are definitely the worst legendaries of the expansion! Now I hope I won't get Uluu!
@MrRobot2027-wd9iw yeah sure, his effect can come in handy sometimes, in that regard he isn't completely useless, but compared to the other legendaries, he doesn't do much! Plus, most of the times he just dies right after you play him and most decks don't even rely on minions! Even Elemental Mage can kill you from hand!
I call my deck: "Holy Expand Dong" I won many matches with the 100 mana card in my hand only bt using Order in the Court and toying my enemy with Holy Warth until he surrends.

I don't think the card should get nerfed, just the deck in particular. Some part of the combo or the interaction should do it.

Incoming Nuke: Holy Wrath 3 mana draw a card. gain armor equal to its mana cost
Platebreaker says hi
Honestly another fix imo would be to change "order in the court" to cost like 1 mana more and also draw a card
Holy Wrath: 3 mana draw a card. Your next minion summoned gains Charge and +1 attack.
@@AFalcomGamerthat's pretty strong, giving any minion charge
Nah, they can just make it so holy wrath only targets minions to permanently destroy this card

saw this coming a mile away. the only weakness of the deck was a it couldn't kill at max hp

Revert order, easy fix
I remember playing holy wrath paladin on launch with molten giants. How far it has come since those days
no way noone saw this coming

"Draw a card, deal damage equal to the number of cards in your hand"
There, now it's situational pyroblast for 5 mana which already should be strong.
That is too strong a buff to hand paladin. When nerfing one ultra specific synergy you don't want to wreck the balance of the cards themselves
How does holy wrath interact with sheananigans?
It's kill you first so you lose

Idk about the Wild Meta, but in Standard Quasar Rogue is literally one of the worst performing decks according to HSReplay.
Why run conniving conman? What's good enough to replay for 4 mana?
rebuke, timeout
Just make special interaction with order in the court where it can shuffle ceaseless expanse on top.
Can't*
Just revert order card from 'Highest to Lowest' into 'Lowest to Highest'
I druid milled their expanse earlier💀✨ they conceded immediately
Draw a card and deal damage equal to its Cost. (Max: 15) or whatever value feels balanced.
Why not just cap holy wrath at 20 damage or so since giants been around for a long time and weren't as problematic

Holy Wrath should just be removed from the game, it's never been in anything other than a degenerate combo deck, and it limits design space of expensive cards.
Holy wrath is strong only since order in the court was added so touching this card by doing the opposite effect should fix the problem
They should just rework Holy Wrath to not target heroes.
