UPDATE 8/13/22: just got home long drive and hard braking. Truck brakes amazing got home almost 0 heat coming from the well and caliper. This video saved me thousands and thousands of dollars!!! Just did mine sitting in the truck now thank you so much man this was seriously a blessing bro and I'm in a 2010 still the same procedures good looking out man for real
Do both calipers, not just one. Same if you need a rotor, you need two. Also, as has been mentioned, you can gravity feed the caliper. And catch that fluid instead of letting it spill on the garage floor and drain into your favorite fishing spot, brake fluid is some of the most caustic automotive fluid out there. Will eat away at concrete and metal. Those rubber hoses that go from the brake line to the caliper can go bad too, so while you're down there, you might as well swap them. I can criticize for days though, I appreciate you uploading a diy fix. Watching fixes others do helps big time, just knowing what to expect before I tear into it is a big advantage
1. Don't antiseize the bolts that hold the entire caliper on, when you should blue-loctite them. 2. Always bleed the brakes. 3. Notice how I spelled brakes. Might get more hits spelling it right.
Iron manikin you cracked me up. Charles w. There musts fell asleep. Like I said. This video was on the money ,it really was good and to the point.it saved me I tell u. Fixes very good thanks again
You can just gravity fill and bleed th calipers through the reservoir. Don't need a funnel. Just keep the res full take off the cap. Crack the bleeder let It fill and run out until there's no more air. Finished.
Replaced both calipers, but couldn't bleed brakes totally. I found out that there is a right caliper and a left caliper. I reversed them when installing. Reverse them and viola! You can now successfully bleed them!
Thank you for your video very helpful couple good tip would not have thought to clamp the fluid line and fill the calipers. save lotta time and effort thanks 👍
Bracket to Steering knuckle torque to 166 ft lbs. Caliper bolts to guide pins on bracket, torque to 46 ft lbs. But what is the torque for the brake line banjo bolt? Thanks for sharing!
I camt beleive the people crush brake hoses with a clamp or vice grips, them lines collapse from inside, I haul horses and my family and myself, I rebled the lines easily, this guy would never touch my fleet of trucks and cars, oh my GOSH, SO DANGEROUS
Charles Woyner.......he DID show pad replacement, and he clearly stated that because he pre-filled the caliper and let the brake hose flow, that bleeding wasn't necessary.....
Fitz's Fixes filling the caliper with brake fluid. Pinching the brake line off. I install the caliper bracket and pads all in one step two 21mm bolts and done.
407ForRent.....you still have to fill a new caliper with brake fluid......if you do that prior to install, you eliminate bleeding (though gravity bleeding works well, too)......btw....the bracket didn't need to be replaced.......so your advice ADDS a step.......

Best video on YT for brake job on an F-350. Thank you…
Excellent video and great tips on pinching the line and filling the caliper.
Thanks for taking the time to post
Excellent instruction and very clear and to the point! Great video by Fitz!!
Thanks! I was able to fix my truck with the help of this video. I put up a video of my caliper replacement as well thanks to you.
great video saved me a lot of time and money
Thanks for this video. I will be doing this this weekend on my F250 although I have to replace the rotor as well.
Excellent video. I love it when I learn a new tip. Vice grips on the brake line! Thanks! Subscribed!

I wasn't sure about the antiseize thing. Thanks for that. Also, I changed the spelling. Thanks for that, too!
Lol I was surprised when you said for less than 100 dollars and I saw the video is 6 years old Ah the good ol days before crazy inflation hit 😅

Pro tip : you can watch movies on Flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Wallace Torin Yup, been watching on Flixzone for months myself =)
@Wallace Torin definitely, been watching on Flixzone for since november myself =)
@Wallace Torin Yup, I have been using flixzone for months myself :D
@Wallace Torin yea, I have been watching on flixzone for months myself :D

Thanks you just saved me a lot of money 👍🏻
Very nice camera work & your lighting was a treat! Way to go.
Nicely done very thorough
Great video. Lots of helpful tips
Replaced both calipers, but couldn't bleed brakes totally. I found out that there is a right caliper and a left caliper. I reversed them when installing. Reverse them and viola! You can now successfully bleed them!
Mine didn’t say they were different, how so are they?
Exactly what I was looking for thanks for the great video
Thank you for your video very helpful couple good tip would not have thought to clamp the fluid line and fill the calipers. save lotta time and effort thanks 👍

Thanks for sharing!
Excellent video. Thank you, I will be using this method.
That was a good fix. Nice video
Did I miss where you explained how to get the old caliper off? My springs are in the way..
Turn your wheel
@@fitzsfixes it was the rear, but I got it off thanks.
Yeah, you need those springs that go on the pads.
Is this done exactly the same for a 1997 f350 7.3L turbodiesel dually 4x4? Thanks
This shit clean as fck thank you brotha I have to replace mine tomorrow!!
Very nice vid thx 🙏
Did you have to leave the brake reservoir cap open during this process?
No.
Very Good video. Thank you.
Suggestion say what size wrenches you use
Thank you. I'll try to do that more often
IF my Ford F350 pulls to the left when breaking, does that mean I have a right side caliper issue ?
I have the same thing. Did you fix your issue? Only one of the pistons on my right caliper moves when pushing the brakes.
Anti seize on the bracket would be a no no for me
Thank you sir…!
Love the vids!
This is how its done boys
I camt beleive the people crush brake hoses with a clamp or vice grips, them lines collapse from inside, I haul horses and my family and myself, I rebled the lines easily, this guy would never touch my fleet of trucks and cars, oh my GOSH, SO DANGEROUS
ford brakes are horrible for this issue they stick all the time for some reason there design just doesn't cut it in rain and snow areas
That's a pretty good way to destroy a brake line.
What is ?
didn't show replacement of pads or any particular nor bleeding process
Charles Woyner.......he DID show pad replacement, and he clearly stated that because he pre-filled the caliper and let the brake hose flow, that bleeding wasn't necessary.....
Seams like you do a lot of extra steps
407ForRent you think so? What extra steps did I take?
Fitz's Fixes filling the caliper with brake fluid.
Pinching the brake line off.
I install the caliper bracket and pads all in one step two 21mm bolts and done.
you want it done right especially for the braking system.
I would take my time also, also explaining it can be done.
407ForRent.....you still have to fill a new caliper with brake fluid......if you do that prior to install, you eliminate bleeding (though gravity bleeding works well, too)......btw....the bracket didn't need to be replaced.......so your advice ADDS a step.......
Cmon man...its BRAKE not BREAK. Jeesh....
Yeah yeah. Sometimes I'm not that bright
why red bucket to hide video? Bad,, pass,
I don't know what that means?
