2015 Artist-in-Residence Ji-Won Song, joined by pianist Hui-Chuan Chen, plays the complete Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64, by Felix Mendelssohn. Captured live in performance at the 2015 Heifetz International Music Institute "Festival of Concerts," held on the campus of Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA.

Love it! Listening to the violin and piano version is really educational. I’m able to listen the violin in more details., to catch the subtle modifications of fingerings and bowings compared to the score I have.
Both the violinist and pianist played with precision and beauty. . Personally I think sometimes the violin could hold back a bit when piano was leading. As an audience I would love to listen to the piano playing the introduction without omission .
I will watch the his performance many times.

제 바이올린 연주가 아마 송지원씨에 가장 흡사할 거 같아 자세히 보게 됩니다. 송지원씨 좋은 음악가입니다^^

great violinist !! but a little too aggressive for mendelssohn, IMHO
ur not wrong, it shld b faster and gentler imo, and maybe no need to crash the diminished 7th octaves either LOL

But the interpretation for the third movement was very refreshing! Was different from others and sounded great. I agree though, little bit on the aggressive side.

While not a bad performance, not polished enough. For comparison try listen to Boston philharmonic interpretation class on the same piece.
Its actually quite polished. Its a totally different interpretation though, pretty aggressive but still a great experience.
Poor ! Listen to Ray Chen's version to compare .
You can say you prefer one to the other, but saying this is "poor" shows that you know nothing and don't appreciate superb musicianship

OMG!! 2 fuckin notes were a bit higher in a 30 min.concerto...it's a live performance, She is a human and it is impossible to play without any mistakes. But u can be proud of yourself, cause you could notice that. That means you have 2 ears, so congrats!!!👏
