    ever since i read the comments about the civic tail lights i cant unsee it! that being said, i actually really, really like this car. it reminds me so much of the concepts cars from the early 2000s like the Toyota RSC.

    I went to the Toyota dealership I August to ask when is the chr coming to their dealership. They didn't even know what a chr was I always go to deal ships and I'm teaching the dealers about their own product so pathetic. Makes me not confident when I want to go buy a car from people that have no idea about their own product.

      @pennypaige8864 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha I did to! just a couple weeks ago and one guy out of everyone knew what I was talking about he gave me a magazine about it! apparently it was supposed to be a scion and come out at the end of 2015 or beginning of 2016 but because scion is no more they turned it over to a toyota and now we have to wait until the end of 2017 for it! on top of that if we get the 1.2 liter turbo over here in the u.s the hp will be between 105 and 125 .....not to thrilled about that considering the Honda crv has 185 hp ....but seriously does not look as gorgeous as the toyota chr. I do pray that the 1.2 turbo is just for Europe ..

    With Scion gone I hope that they bring out a larger engine option. Toyota really needs smaller SUVs that hit 60 in under 7 seconds, preferably under 6 seconds so we can have decent performance at high altitude where we loose 15-20% of rated power.

    Did I just hear him say that the C HR was going to be priced at C class level? In Australia that puts it about 60K.

    • @hawkesworth1712
      @hawkesworth1712 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** If you convert the UK prices to Aussie dollars the turbo starts at $35,600 and the hybrid, which we probably won't get, starts at $40,000.
      The turbo and the hybrid top out at $47,000.
      Either we are going to get it at a discount to the Euro cars, which is not likely, or the positioning between the Corolla and Camry relates more to size.

    1.2 Turbo, for a car like this. You know, all those down sized blocks, they do work but in comparison with bigger blocks, the smaller blocks have to deliver more power. So they operate much more and longer towards their maximum which makes them less durable. Downsizing is only because of the EU CO2 rating. Because out of experiance I can tell you that when you drive 140km/h with a car the size of this with a 2016 1.2L turbo or with a 1998 2.0L it makes practically zero difference in fuel consumption.

    • @steviewonder65
      @steviewonder65 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      do those engines make comparable power?

    • @2014andBeyonD
      @2014andBeyonD 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Chris Sorreda I don't claim to be smarter than anyone. I was talking about the durability. Just before the time blocks from almost all manufacturers from Europe began making their blocks lighter to save weight (somewhat after 1998) brands like Saab and Volvo over-engineered their blocks. Take for example the 1998 Saab 900 2.0L. That engine was over engineered. It's a pretty heavy block but it has only 128hp. It was build to last. Proof of that is the fact that this engine can easily be tuned up to 280hp without any modifications. That engine is so strong it can handle the horsepowers. Compare that with a 1.2L turbo squeezing out 130hp. Those blocks are light and have relative high horse power. They're build different for a different reason. You'll bet your ass you can't squeeze 280hp out a 1,2 turbo WITHOUT modifications or damage.

    Looks: B grade
    Power: F grade because it comes a weak 1.2 litre turbo. That's weaker than my 1st car 1984 Honda civic 1.5 litre engine.
    NO SALE! This really needs to be a Toyota version of Lexus power by putting in a 3.5 litre 270hp engine.

    Today's "economy" cars don't really have much better technology than a 15 year-old car. In fact, my 1996 Landcruiser has pretty much everything this has except for... a rear back-up camera xD. The only worthwhile things this has are more airbags and the ability to hook up a phone (which I can do on the Landcruiser via the tape deck). Only today's expensive cars boast more features, but most of them are not too necessary.

    I have driven cars made in Turkey and their quality is far below of the same vehicles built in Asia and Europe. The car that will sell mad in Europe will be the Tesla Model 3 now that the superchargers are quickly spreading throughout western and eastern Europe. Many vehicles that are diesel powered in Europe burn as much or less gasoline than many hybrid vehicles at less cost.

      Did you hear the Supra is coming back? Toyota needs to make SUVs and boring cars cause that's what pays the bills.

      +Statimtek Yes, why not? America is the Continent, and the US is a country which is in north part of the continent (North America). So you have many countries in South America (which is just one part of America), then central America, and North America (with Canada, US and Mexico).
      Nice no?

      Baltazar Campos Nieto Okaaaaaay. I see your point. I stand corrected. : )

      Baltazar Campos Nieto Although if that were the case should he have not said "the America (s)" ? As you have more than one. You have North America which includes Canada and Mexico, central America, and South America. Plural. ; )
