This is my favorite version of all the times Allan has sung this song. His voice is beautiful, he looked at the magical lights with wonder. His smile and those eyes always tug on my heart. He just seems to make a connection with you through the camera and I love him dearly. He touches my heart and my eyes fill with tears over this song that has so much meaning to me. Allan is The Hollies and no other singer can replace him. I hope he knows how much he is loved.
My daughter danced with her disabled brother at her wedding to this song. It was such a beautiful moment. Thanks for writing this song. It means so much to us.
I saw Alan Clark in 1987 with my Dad, and we saw the Hollies 6 times over a few years. My Dad became a recluse and wouldn’t see me or my daughter due to his alcohol issues. The police found him and he’d been dead for three months when he was found. I organised his funeral and the song I chose when he was carried in was ‘He Ain’t Heavy’ there’s a story attached to the song but too long for here. Thanks to The Hollies for writing the song that meant so much to me and my Dad xx
Neither Allan, nor any of the other Hollies had a hand in writing ‘He Ain’t Heavy… ‘. It was written by Bob Russell and Bobby Scott, two American songwriters

Man - the technology we have now is just incredible, isn't it? This is EXCELLENT. They were - and apparently still are - an awesome band, and today's technology lets us hear every single nuance and emotion...

remember people , we all get old, and these guys sure don't care, they just love to play the hollies, we all get old!, looks fade, but the music lives on!
I like to think that the Hollies were a really great group who never imploded due to booze, drugs, and all the crap that so many other bands got messed up in.
I had never seen this one!! Oh my God!! the older Allan got, the better he looks!! And Tony, I agree, he looks like he doesn't age...thank you so much for making my day!!!
"Immortalized by the Osmonds"??? Gimmeee a break!!! Nothing they have done or every will do can possibly compare to the Hollies!!! Especially Allan's amazing voice...... xxxx Barbara
Allan parece encantado com o público e como sempre lindo , dono de um charme inacreditável .E a voz? linda e potente como sempre. Obrigada Allan por todo seu trabalho, por essa passagem tão brilhante pela música, você é para sempre.
This is so timeless and perfect imo. Takes me back to when I saw them live and met them all in '97. Best night out of my life spending time with them after the concert and getting their autographs - they were perfect live all night then too. I was 13 at the time and they are still my most favorite band ever. Precious memories :) Thank you so much for sharing - this video never gets old for me
This song never gets old. As relevant today as when it first came out.

Why does Clarke left the Hollies?
This dude always finds the camera when he sings. No matter what decade or venue.
He`s irreplaceble.....what an outstanding musical legacy he has left us. We miss you badly, Allan...you`re a true professional!
He's still alive.
@@davechristian7043 wahaha true
Alive
Nobody said he was dead! Just not in the band any longer so he's missed.🤷🏼♀️
No one can sing that song like Allan Clarke. No one.
Thank you, Allan Clarke. You are truly amazing... voice, charisma, appeal , talent and all.
My daughter danced with her disabled brother at her wedding to this song. It was such a beautiful moment. Thanks for writing this song. It means so much to us.
It was actually written by Bobby Scott & Bob Russell. The Hollies were not even the first to record it.
@@mungous1000 This was her very special day, with her brother. Your remarks were correct, as for the timing?.....
@@contourbodynothing wrong with the timing.

Rip to your father!
This is one key lower than the original version. Allan lost his illustrious voice to so many factors. But good to see he is still singing.
Mooi nummer en mooie man!
WOW.. HE still has that awesoem voice.
One of the most important songs we had in Vietnam in the 60s 70s
Can you imagine Allan reading and responding to our comments?
My God!!!
A dream!!!
It is now 2024. I remember hearing this one from the backseat on AM radio over 40 years ago and yet to this day it still moves me and pulls at my heart while some days bringing tears to my eyes……
Allan is the best voice to come out of England, lovely guy. First met mid 60s.

R.i.p. JOHN.
Allan was still in top fettle in 1999. He had a very strong voice but his second and sudden departure was to shock everyone.
A moving classic! Played a photoshow with this song when my younger brother passed. This song brings a greater meaning whenever I hear it. Thank you!

Man he got a great voice
Very nice video... and outSTANDing sound! Thanks for posting...... kinda takes me back..
Not dead...retired. No Hollies for me without Allan.
His "replacement" is very talented and is helping to keep the music alive. Plus he's very sexy.
An amazing man with an amazing voice he makes my heart skip a beat.
Wow!! that man has the voice and the look as an old man good!~!
Still that gorgeous voice.
What a fantastic performance.
I like to think that the Hollies were a really great group who never imploded due to booze, drugs, and all the crap that so many other bands got messed up in.
I think the same w👍
Well according to Bobby Elliots book, Alan had a problem with drink and of course Graham admits the use cannabis in his book.
Bloody brilliant, awesome song, awesome singer, beautiful and thank you. :)

Just hauntingly beautiful 😍
❤ Amo esa Melodía Verídica 😢😢😢😢😢❤
GREAT live performance!
Those eyes really do something special to me
This is the Hollies!!!! Alan on lead, Tony playing guitar, the other Alan on guitar and Bobby on drums. 💕💕💕🎂🎂
You forgot about Ray On Bass Guitar and Ian On Keyboards.
That apology was a nice touch, ian. Hollies fans are decent people just like the band. I miss Allan too. The legend endures....
