My mom used to sing this to me when I was little when I was sad. I play it when I feel down and it helps. I'm 24 now, and this song is almost as old as my parents. I just got out of a 5 year relationship and this Xmas was hard bc it was around what would've been our 5 year anniversary. Everyone tells me to move on but I can't. Thank you Beatles for literally saving my life tonight.

Yes, I agree. What struck me too, is that this here, would've probably resembled a real Beatle's concert, of the time. It's incredible how every time I come back to this song I am amazed by its beauty and simplicity. That three minute fade out that essentially consists of "Naa, na, na, na na na naa" just produces this hypnotic effect, and is easy for anyone to sing along with. It creates a feeling of community. It's amazing how a group that disbanded more than half a century ago, and that only lasted playing together 7-8 years (with John-Paul-George-Ringo lineup), still holds the record for the most No. 1 hits and continues to have the most sales in the history of music 🤯
@@spaghettisauce445 and considering that Gilmour is one of rock’s guitar geniuses and critical to Pink Floyd - another acclaimed English band with huge sales - his appreciation of The Beatles is very meaningful indeed
The greatest band there EVER was. From start to finish ,the word that comes to mind is... Timeless. They paved the way. I was just a kid when they rose to the top. The sad, tragic loss of Lennon changed everything. Though they are gone, never will they be forgotten. To all the Beatles fans out there, we remember!

My grandad passed a few months ago, and it's his birthday today. Sometimes I feel like I wish I could have spoken to him more. I hear all the time how we look and act alike. It bring tears to my eyes every time. Happy Birthday Grandad. We miss you.
No other band in history has had the staying power and influence that the Beatles have (and had) even more than 50 years after it was dissolved. It's unbelievable and incredibly remarkable, when you think about it.
Thank you for pointing that out. The rest of them seem a little uneasy (understandably -- they're the most famous rock band in the world at that point and they have a bunch of strangers around them) but Ringo seems to be feeding off the happiness of the people around him. He's just beaming.

Yes. Absolutely magical. If one had to choose a greatest moment from all the songs of the Beatles, that might be it. But one can't choose a greatest moment. Too many of them.
One of the most joyous songs ever, made even more joyous by all those happy audience members singing the chorus for a few minutes. It could have gone on forever. On some days, I think this is the most beautiful song ever written.

The fact that this 56 year old music piece is still getting fans and new comments every other week is mind blowing. Earth has revolved 55 times around the Sun and has seen over 20,000 sunshine, still this is running. Sometimes make me feel happy to live in this time of human evolution.
Everytime Paul makes eye contact with the camera it gives me this like overwhelming feeling of happiness but at the same time sadness bc I know that there's such a low chance of me EVER seeing him live or meeting him but at the same time I remember how much he changed my life I just don't know how to explain it

One thing I love about The Beatles is how much of goobers / causal blokes out of performance or during rehearsal, but when it's really time to perform, the magic of their chemistry and musicianship just explodes out of them.
Actually ive just remembered, they were touring the States and were being interviewed on a TV show. The interviewer says to Ringo 'you must be one of the best drummers in the world right now"? and John pipes up "he's not even the best drummer in the band"
@@markwoods1530 Lennon grew up in probably the toughest environment of all 4 of them. Don't forget, the were parts of Liverpool destroyed by the Germans in WWII. John was hanging out with rough crowds in the rubble of the war.
