she nails every single part of Tess' body language. the way she stands, the way she pulls back her shirt, her wry expression, everything. fantastic acting
i’ve been loving the changes and additions to the show so far! i do wish they added the “oh christ” line from joel, he seems so silent here while in the game, you could tell he was shocked seeing her wound. i also wish they added tess’ franticness in her voice, if that make sense. the way she rushed toward ellie and talked about the wound really impacted me in the game; although then again, i think the franticness comes out differently because her voice is deeper than game tess, who has a slightly higher pitched voice. great stuff! i can’t wait to see what else they added to the show :DD
I love how Tess is so badass, but is the first to open about their feelings for each other. She is showing hope for a cure and expressing her feelings towards joel and remorse for what they did to survive to this point. She's expressing her last feelings to Joel while she is still human.
They spend a millenia growing and mutating to a point where they begin to produce spores filled with a super light gas that will carry them out past the atmosphere and into space. Inside the spores will be all the bacteria needed to pollinate other planets. We mushroom universe now.
They were a couple. Although, it was complicated relationship. Joel never accepted her as a lover but Tess was in love with Joel and this is proven here when she said “Not to feel the way I felt.”
They were ‘partners’. I think Joel was far too broken bc of Sarah to accept anyone even if it’s a different kind of love. But they were together for awhile and Joel definitely had feelings for her. Tess loved him though
Tess’s death in the game were done so well. You can actually feel the tragedy. I remember feeling so empty and sad. Like the way one feels when losing a loved one. On the contrary in the show it didn’t feel like that. I have revisited the clip of the game after watching episode two and realised the actress in the game did a much better job.
A live action adations flows much faster, and game has more time develop and establish a bond for the characters way more differently than in the show. That being said, I never compare these two aspects together, because they work and bring out the emotions different way. I personally always watch the live action adaptations with different perspective as well as the game.
I agree. They attempted to do an almost word-for-word reenactment in the show, but failed to capture the gravity of the scene. Although Anna Torv and Bella Ramsay are both excellent actresses, neither of them quite managed to match the performance of the respective actors in the game (at least not for this particular scene).

“Save who you can save”
One of my favorite moments of this show
Anna Torv is a very underrated actress. She nails every part she has ever played

"You keep her alive"
And he did 😢no matter the cost
RIP Legend Atsuko Tanaka
Tess' JP VA.
Pedro's expressions just realistic
It's just bad acting not realism.
Realistically bad, yeah.
The games voice actor was a thousand times better, especially this scene where he said "it is over, Tess!"
@@silhouettefadeswell ye I also don't like how they changed this scene it was more emotional the game
@@Jinxx_Gamin it was better in the game true
Isn't she the former lead actress from Fringe?
Yes she is 🎉
Anna Torv.
one of my favourite actresses ever. Massive crush too 😄
The Last of Us has the potential to be the next Stranger Things. One of the best shows alongside Barry.
My boyfriend gave up on the show, kinda wanted to get back into it. Is it worth it ??
@@angeladecarlo1455 Yes. It gets better over time.
@@angeladecarlo1455its worth it for this season, but it gets bad after.
@@juanoro-barcenas79495it doesn't. The TLOU 2 is garbage bad.
The first season sure. It is going downhill fast after this though unless they change the entire story of the second game for the show.
What happens to the fungi once all of the humans are infected ?

My guess it will take die out sooner or later with no more human host's to control... maybe..who knows?
It doesn’t care. Just like humans aren’t caring about the world if they’re starving.
It can infect rat, which created rat king monster in the sequel
@namvo3013 bro no 😂
Why did she try the lighter thats almost failed istead og the grenade
In another world with Olivia Dunn…I mean Dunham.
Olivia Dunham
@@VerbalPumpkin thanks.
God damn that’s a masterpiece

I have a Candida Albicans over infection right now and this is how it feels. 😂😂😂😂

i powered through part 1 just to see this. best game ever, though i'm old and it's like uncharted.
I got thrush
Are Joel and Tess in love with each other?
Yep
They were a couple. Although, it was complicated relationship. Joel never accepted her as a lover but Tess was in love with Joel and this is proven here when she said “Not to feel the way I felt.”
Dude the whole point about Tlou1 is about love and what people would do for their love ones
In the show yes, but the game never made it quite clear whether they were lovers or just close friends
They were ‘partners’. I think Joel was far too broken bc of Sarah to accept anyone even if it’s a different kind of love. But they were together for awhile and Joel definitely had feelings for her.
Tess loved him though
They nailed it.
I honestly think the game did it better but still a good scene.

Didn't humans kill her?
Yeah, FEDRA soldiers were after them iirc
That is not how it went.
She sacrifices nothing. She is toast.
This is not acting
This scene was so horribly portrayed
The acting is so bad compared to the game
No, it really isn't.
@@EightThreeEight I disagree. There is no authentic emotion like in the game.
Yes it's. This feels like a fan-made speedrun of the game. The acting isn't even half as good as in the game.@@EightThreeEight
@@EightThreeEightYou really don’t know how to identify bad acting.
Bro Joel would never reach for his gun if Tess approached she clearly wasn't even close to turning this is a butchered version of the real scene.
