Ellie was awake for like 10 seconds, gets charged at by a zombie kid, witnesses the kid get his head blown off and then sees a man kill himself. That's a really terrible way to start your day
@@pm4995 that ain't nothing bro. I once shook it thoroughly 20 times and put it back in and before I zip it, out came about a table spoon more urine. It felt horrible.
This is so much more sad than the game, Sam is younger and more innocent and vulnerable it hits way harder seeing them hug 😢😭in the game Sam was just mad that he got bit and Ellie didn’t know 🫤
Henry knew that he had to be the one to kill his brother, and after the shock went off, he tried to blame others but knew he couldnt move on believing he failed and took his life cause of it
My God It's sad that Ellie tried to save Sam from Becoming Infected and when Me, My Dad, And Heather saw the episode we We're surprised that when Henry kills Sam He then kills himself I believed my Dad said (Yep, He's gonna do it.) After Eariler in the episode I thought Sam was okay but Heather told me He's Infected and turned into a monster. 😔
Is anyone surprised that Ellie's attempt to "cure" that kid failed? Even if her blood was somehow an antidote to the fungus, administrating it that way is not only not going to work, but is asking for trouble. She could've easily gotten infected herself as open wound gave fungus easy direct way to get into her bloodstream. Also, she should've alerted the adults straightaway instead instead of trying to hide the kid's secret.
She can’t be infected, the explanation came later on but the fungus within her from birth acts as a kind of camouflage to the infection she gets bit the fungus introduced to her will believe she’s part of it and won’t attempt to control her
When you are bit, your fate is completely sealed. Even if Ellie was to tell Joel and Henry, nothing would change, and I think Joel might shoot Sam immediately and make enemy of Henry. Ellie is still a kid, a mature one for her age but still a kid. She just wanted to some miracle to happen, that her immunity can be shared. But in the world like TLOU, reality is always harsh. She did the best she could think of. The tragedy of Sam and Henry is the thing that push Ellie to want her immunity to mean something.
I can’t speak for anyone who came into the show blind, but I think it was foreshadowed a bit, and Ellie’s still operating under a kid logic that she’s practically invincible. It needs to be reinforced to her that the infected can’t pass it on to her, but can still rip her in 2. I disagree with the idea that she could have gotten infected with the fungus though. Bad blood infusion reaction or any other infections that might’ve been carried and I’d agree, but Ellie probably did pick up the infection again and just like the time she was bitten (or the other time she was bitten later on), the fungus reacts the same way by thinking she was already a carrier and not doing anything.
There's no way in hell you are going to cut your hand like that and do the "promise" sign with so much pation, once I fishbone pierced the middle of my hand, I didn't close that hand for atleast a whole week, she would be feeling that shit for days.
I don't think she would've had any idea how well it'd work trying to save someone else by mixing her blood with theirs. She just decided to try and hope for the best and well, yep
I kinda have to desagree. Both are great in their respective mediums, but Bella fucking killed it here. Her reaction to Henry taking his own life was that of shock and misery. It was a hard pill for me to swallow but after rewatching this first season, Bella absolutely knocked it out of the park and even transcended the original game's performance. I really think Ashley Johnson did much, much better with Part 2 than Part 1, I'm so excited to see how Bella stacks up to that performance!
It had nothing to do with censoring. You don't need to see every bloody thing that happens, and Ellie's reaction as it happens is meant to be a moment of character growth. She thought she could save Sam, and her face as Henry took his own life conveys her character learning that there is never, ever an easy way to fix things in this world.

Thank god. He didn't hurt Ellie and Joel for that.
Well ya his brother turned and died what can we say about that ?
He wasn't blaming Joel... he was blaming himself
the only person sam has killed is his own brother, guess that's not something ordinary people can process
You mean Henry
What he killed wasn't his brother
Henry did kill several infected and hunters though ?

She’s immune, so she cannot get infected even by blood transfer.

Well they tried to replicate the same death scene as the game so they have to have Sam die suddenly

What was the point of making that kid not be able to speak? He talks perfectly fine in the game.
My guess is they hired a deaf/mute actor

I like how they cut the suicide but fully display the child murder.
